I think they mean 'sliced'. They probably had too many mishaps with crumpets and baguettes setting off the smoke alarms.

For sure! But I can't vote for her is what I meant.

Perhaps from a monarchy perspective, but we still have a long way to go politically with only two female prime ministers and our current Labour party has had zero. Compare that with the Scandinavian countries we trail quite considerably.

I'm from the UK. I have no skin in the game! It's very much an observation from following US politics, sad really as she is great.

AOC would be an amazing president. Unfortunately there's a huge number of man-babies in the US that can't seem to cope with a woman as commander-in-chief.

Everyone in those pictures were either mocked/rejected/labelled a weirdo/never got laid at 6th form and university and we are all paying the price for this now as they take it out on the world.

After the season we've had. I'll take a 90+10 Virgil winner at the Dick Wittington stadium. It was a glorious moment and I'm all for their fume at the end.

They're all mental to be fair. The only way the tory party could ever revive their fortunes is to admit that Brexit was bad. It won't happen anytime soon as they purged anyone who thought like during Boris' time.

The right wing rags want anything other than a 2nd term labour government and Farage is the only show in town at present from the right that has a chance. Labour should have done Leveson 2 and had media plurality legislation teed up, but no, they just complain about not getting a fair hearing!

Absolutely no doubt about it but will Ted Verity at the Daily Mail and Allister Heath at the Telegraph tell their avid readers this important fact. I somehow doubt it!

I fully admit I thought Samuel L Jackson's bible quote in Pulp Fiction is in the actual bible and never thought to question it until this week. Being an atheist should give me last I hope!

Unfortunately it won't be told to the British public by the same bad actors in the press that originally pushed and cheerleaded for Brexit 10 years ago. I am sure they'll come up with other wild outcomes al la millions of Turks coming here like in 2016.

Thanks for the review Michael. Loved the Danny Dyer and David Tennant ones from series 1. Will have to watch on ITV player.

Very true. I work in a FCA regulated business. They and all politicsl parties should have a similar compliance framework especially around gifts, donations, additional paid work and investments.

It was probably all delegated to McSweeney and Starmer was just generally incurious about the whole process or rationale like he seemed about most things they have fucked up in the last 18 months.

Maybe move the BBC to Wigan? She might show a bit of interest then.

You can only do so much delegating. You kind of need to be abreast of the important stuff as well.

The problem is they still own the press to some extent so it will be reported in bad faith by them and then it will be prime talking points on the BBC, ITN, Good Morning Britain, LBC with absolutely no caveats that this spend is normal and within budget

Can you have the opposite? I really loved The Sisters, The Cure, Banchees, The Killing Joke but at 16 I didn't want to be labelled a goth or a smellie so kept my counsel, while I was into the Mondays, Roses, acid house with my mates. Missed out didn't get to see those bands live until my 30s.

Doesn't everyone up in Clitheroe do that anyway but they eat theirs with mud.

Will give it a listen. I thought he came across pretty well on the Rest is Politics Leading podcast. But a good chunk of the democrats really dislike him.
