My first attempt at making sourdough bread. The first loaf had a very crisp loaf. The second, I sprayed water on the top before baking. It had a more pliable crust.
Neither of them rose well. I put that down to being too hydrated and my knife wasn't sharp enough to make a good score. Tastes braw tho
The prelaunch page for Secret Passages issue 4 is up to a) stop me from losing momentum and b) to hold the revolver of accountability to my head

Or maybe she misinterpreted the bit of the spell that said, "by sight of the moon"?
Chris Pine was absolutely superb as Kirk. The characterful interplay between him, Spock, Uhura, and McCoy was hilarious. Such a fun movie to watch and loaded with fast paced action. I thoroughly enjoy all the 'Kelvin' movies as well as the TOS and TNG movies. Each bring their own special message.
What was the last movie or TV show you watched in 2025
Exactly what it says on the label: The Pope in 1982. He's wearing a black hat, dark RayBans, and looks like he's a member of the Blues Brothers.
What's from Chicago, hates Illinois Nazis, and is holy as fuck?
It's the Pope in 1982.

Welcome to Isengard. It's lovely - to begin with.
A Dunlending fortress (well, technically a fortress of Gondor that's long since gone to seed).
The campaign covers events from 2965-3000, so we get a LOT more canonical locations and events
The preorder for my next ONE RING rpg supplement, HANDS OF THE WHITE WIZARD, is up!

I should add that both are Templar blades. They have Templar crosses stamped on the fuller on one side of the blade. We don't know on which side the Templars were fighting, English or Scottish. My guess is English, as the majority of English knights present, drowned in the Forth when the bridge fell
Pictured are two swords recovered from the river Forth by Stirling Bridge, Scotland. The one on the left in 1869, the one on the right in 1878. Both were used at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1296, William Wallace's major victory.
On Monday passed, I held the one on the right in my own hands. 😊
In case you didn’t know, I wrote a simple B/X-adjacent ruleset called #TheMcHack. My in-person group are currently play-testing, and the latest blog post can be found here: mysticmog.blog/2025/11/04/t...
You can buy The McHack on #DriveThruRPG for a single US$, just search “McHack”.

I've been too busy to draw these past three days. Not so my daughter (10) and my nephew (8).
##Inktober ##inktober2025
Three attempts at quick sketches for Inktober. My 9-year-old nephew's, my 10-year-old daughter's, and my own. I much prefer theirs.

A friend of mine has designed one. It's being playtested and refined. He started with all the character roles, weapons and equipment in Welsh, but then decided to rewrite it in English to make it more accessible.
My daughter and I tried our hand at quick ink sketches for #Inktober
Today's prompt was, "Shredded."
TTRPG creators, there are innumerable reasons, and a nigh indescribable bliss to be found, if you dare learn to draw. And at least, if you do not, it's cool for you to learn some of the basics, since you will sooner and later need to work with artists:

Congratulations. I've got the core rules, Prime Adventures 1, the UFP book, and one other that I can't remember. I've never actually played the game, despite having owned it for about 25 years.
Last night, after I got home from work, I started rewatching the Rings of Power. It's much better the second time around, without all the hysterical reactionary baggage attached. Loving it.
Necrotic Gnome's Dolmenwood has arrived. It's been 3.5 years since I backed the Patreon and then the Kickstarter. The filthy loot arrived today by Royal Mail. So chuffed. I even showed it all off to my wife.
I've done an unboxing video that I'll post up to my blog and link here.
If you've enjoyed some of my games and are interested in trying it yourself, why not join the ONE HUNDRED ONE PAGE GAME JAM next month? There's PRIZES. itch.io/jam/one-hund...
Boyd is a surname from where I come from. I've not come across the others.
I appreciate this sounds like my retirement/obituary but NOT TODAY HATERS.

I just backed Scoundrels of Brixton: Savage Frontier on @Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/projects/158...
Last night I went to La Belle Angele in Edinburgh with my brothers, to see Valtos. What an amazing gig. The Isle of Skye produces some of the very best Scots gaelic bands.
I had scrapbooks. I'd cut out photos, art, and articles from newspapers and magazines, and glue them into my scrapbook. I'd write wee notes about them.
Who does that now?
Awesome. Thank you. I look forward to playing this.
In celebration of hitting a new creative milestone and feeling utterly pleased with myself - details of which I'll share at a later date - my best-selling TTRPG 'Deep Space' core book is FREE OF CHARGE until further notice!
