Maybe that's why I find Owlcat games the hardest CRPG's to get into.

I somehow grew up not playing tabletop games or being exposed to it until my mid-thirties. And never got into it until I started watched Critical Role this year. Over a decade since they started streaming it on Twitch.

It's closer to the type of game that Owlcat have been making. Even then the Pathfinder and 40K Rogue Trader games from Owlcat are MASSIVE in scope.
