surely no army in military history has ever been laid low by disease, a famously uncommon problem among people living in enforced close quarters

two images of the human body's circulatory system. One of them with good cable management
The human circulatory system, before and after proper cable management.
Storefront painted yellow with three addresses on it: 1701-B, 1701-C, and 1701-D
No way that store is big enough for all three
These Bluesky problems would never have happened if people remembered to tip their servers.
Special Harry Potter edition butterbeer-flavored Goldfish, which sounds as rancid as JK Rowling’s politics
quislings all around me
I have an unpopular take that we need to cool it with the "big pharma" rhetoric because it very easily transitions into the antivax gateway for the crunchy-to-fashy pipeline.
Walking out is literally a speech act
If you're lucky, you teleport to a Waffle House instead.
Headline on Hollywood Reporter that reads ”Paddington 4, Escape From New York' Reboot in the Works”
I misread the headline as one movie and got very excited for a moment…
It only takes one awshit to erase a ton of attaboys, and that's a hell of an awshit. 😬
If they're alienated by my politics, they're not my audience anyway.
some people may argue that The Beekeeper not high art but it contains a scene in which a scammer tries to bribe Jason Statham with NFTs and is immediately tied to a truck and driven off the bridge so who’s to say it is not the greatest cinematic accomplishment of our times
Bloody hell. Researchers invented a disease, published two fake papers to see if LLM’s would ingest them and kick them up as fact — and then it broke containment and all the major AI’s bought in. Information pollution.

I assumed this was AI until I looked it up on NASA's website
the evolution of weaponry:
* big rock
* big rock but launched
* explosions
* guided explosions
* the unfathomable power of the atom, exploding

Three blue and one pink Sour Patch kid egg shapes on a white stone counter with a hand holding a red pen black light in the foreground and the edge of an Easter basket in the background. The blacklight pen is in use and has a blue circle illuminated around one of the egg shapes and the egg shape has green fluorescence spots on it.
Have you seen these ridiculous things?
This was also the year we went out for Easter brunch to be told “Sahree, only seatin’s at tha bah.” So we sat at the bar and my proper southern mother ordered iced tea.
They brought her an LIT. Mom looked at it and said “Well it would be rude to send it back.”

I've tried other litrpgs before and after, and I didn't like any of them as much as I love DCC.
Tweet from me. “So my daughter sent home the funniest camp letter ever.” Photograph of a hand written note with terrible handwriting. “ Hi mom and dad. They are forcing me to write but they can’t make me tell you anything. VIVA LA RESISTANCE!”
Why the hell not? Here’s my contribution to the genre.
a little screencap from the corner of the artemis II launch youtube channel, showing velocity 18120 m/h, 214 miles from earth, and 241,734 miles TO the moon
Are we there yet
"It's the Moon, stop saying 'Are we there yet'"
Oh sorry
Are we there YET
In honor of this thrilling human moment, we return to the greatest work of short literature ever produced. It still has so much to teach us.

I’m sharing this video again because people don’t really get what these data centers and ai are doing to our planet and our communities. Especially Black communities because they were strategically placed there.
I need you to listen to these people.
STOP USING AI. STOP SUPPORTING AI.
That's quite the sign:
Universal Basic Income works. It works extremely well because what people need is cash, trust, and dignity, not paternalistic bureaucratic hoops to jump through to exist. And yes we can afford it because the lack of it is very costly. UBI should be seen as an investment with a large expected return.
I wrote this little thing for your amusement. May it amuse you.
