The rock is a part of the Meteora geological formation, which formed via sedimentary processes roughly 60 million years ago, and features 24 monasteries carved into the rock in the middle ages.

Why are you doing this, Vioters-Wangs?

#geoguessr mystery: yesterday I was doing Switzerland maps and ended up in Vilters-Wangs where half the utility poles had weird effigies with little poems in a dialect I only half understand on them.

Why?

It doesn’t seem to be a memorial? Not a threat display. The poems seemed cheeky?
