Nice to get the two White Storks that have been visiting the Norfolk coast recently from my garden in Horsey just now 🙂

I have updated the @norfolknats.bsky.social species guide to Norfolk Psyllids, which is available to download from the NNNS website here: norfolknaturalists.org.uk/wp/wp-conten... It now covers 60 species (about 3/5 of the British list) so is hopefully of use even for those outside of Norfolk.

Phew, just as well that I didn't mention Amara majuscula then.

Jo, I tell a lie, the Nicotiana sylvestris is still going strong about 100 metres west of the Coop in Acle, look for the For Sale sign @jo-the-botanist.bsky.social

Not sure but doubt it, although they're still in flower in gardens at the moment.

I recorded this as a pavement weed in Acle in early July but haven't got round to adding it to iRecord yet. Lovely plant.

Pleased to see the scarce dune loving spider Marpissa nivoyi at Horsey dunes yesterday. Long known from the North Norfolk coast but just a single record from the East Norfolk dunes until now.

A nice fresh Yellow Horned in my moth trap this morning. Widespread in woodland but scarce in coastal east Norfolk, only my second record in 11 years at Horsey.

Lovely spring morning in east Norfolk, Bitterns booming, Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs singing and this Comma soaking up the sunshine.
