One small investment in one park in the middle of one "rough" neighborhood means I get to hear kids having a grand time just being kids. Proving that kids will go outside when there's something to go outside for.

There's a park across the street from my house with a playground and basketball court. Over the winter the city did a complete overhaul of the playground equipment. It's newer and safer.

The weather is perfect and at almost 8:15pm on a school night and the park is full of kids in both areas.

I've started to wonder if I'm becoming agoraphobic.

I thought about how I used to go to bars just to sit and be around people, but now the idea of being there with the music that's way too loud and 10 TVs all playing different things sounds like hell.

Between having a mentally and emotionally draining job, and the world being so overstimulating...

I started thinking about the things I recently purchased without even leaving my bed, nonetheless seeing or talking with another person. I thought about how frequently the idea of going out and dealing with people feels exhausting, even if it's just going to the grocery store.

For the last few days I've been thinking about how the ability to have pretty much anything whenever we want has impacted our ability to enjoy the things we have in the here and now.

Not just Amazon, but food delivery, movie/video and music streaming, etc.
