Do we have anything left that's worth protecting?" the third panel shows the broken body of a flying mouse. "After this is over, will there even be anyone left who deserves the new world?"
duster turns to kumatora and says "Kumatora, that's not fair." kumatora counters "I don't care. I want to hear it from Lucas. He's the smartest one here and you know it." Lucas, with his legs slung over a sleeping boney, is letting a caterpillar crawl onto his finger as he responds "I guess...."

Lucas continues, observing the caterpillar closely. kumatora, still discouraged, holds her face in her hands and says "That's a pretty flimsy hope."
