I've really been enjoying The Division series again. Deus Ex was and still is phenomenal.

It's been really fun building a set of mechanics and rules from the ground up! So far, I'm really pleased with the lack of math and crunch which lets the themes of tactics, hard decisions, stress, pressure, and momentum shine!

A circular orange logo with a matching orange Phoenix with wings outstretched and the Latin words "EXTREMIS MALIS EXTREMA REMEDIA" which means, "For extreme ills, extreme remedies," or more commonly, "Desperate times call for desperate measures". The Latin phrase is the logo of the fictional government organization known as "The Division". All rights belong to Tom Clancy and Ubisoft.
I'm building a TTRPG based on "The Division" games and novels. If you enjoy tactical games and would be interested in possibly playtesting and/or providing feedback on a TTRPG version of "The Division", please feel free to reach out! I'm getting pretty close to finalizing v1.0.

But wait, there's more!
The problem is that she knows she is. This is why Comet always gets her way.
My apologies.
Absolutely! LOVE the Salvage Union aesthetic and system!
Absolutely.
Unrelated, I'm making a homebrew Star Wars TTRPG campaign based on Alphabet Squadron that is run on the Night Witches rules system.
For those interested in those TTRPGs:
- Fallout & Star Trek Adventures are both by @modiphius.bsky.social
- D&Destiny & Star Wars 5e are Community projects
- Salvage Union is by @leylinepress.bsky.social
- Night Witches is by @bullypulpithq.bsky.social
I recommend checking them all out!

I'll go first.
During our group's downtime, I've been working on other TTRPGs, specifically developing other campaigns, stories, NPCs, and so on.
I've been working on:
- Fallout
- Star Trek Adventures
- D&Destiny
- @salvageunion.bsky.social
- Star Wars (on the Night Witches system)

Every autumn, I usually end up having to put my home TTRPG campaign on hold. As the DM, it's a busy time of year, from work to all things kids being back in school, plus their activities.
Do your gaming groups have similar hiatuses? What do you do in the 'off season'?
Let's discuss!

It seems the Quori aren't done with this world...
So, rightfully terrified, the Players recover some objects within the chamber to study. They take Harpen's body back to Obsidian Run, and complete their mission - now with a mystery to uncover:
What's up with the Psionic Chamber?
#DnD5e #Eberron
The small chamber wanders down a short hallway that turns and comes out in a large hexagonal chamber.
The Players determine that there seems to be a psionic connection, but not until after a scary experience during a speak with dead spell on an old corpse contained within.
The cave itself was bizarre. Silent, devoid of life, actually getting colder as the Players delved deeper.
After an long, narrow journey into the cramped cave system, the Players found an unnatural chamber; linear, polished, pulsing with the same cadence as the signal from earlier.

Recovered journal notes spoke of a signal and voices. The pair of Artificers in the group managed to repair the radio and convert the antenna into a directional antenna, quickly locating said signal.
A short walk, and the Players find where the source was coming from - a cave entrance, and Harpen.
Upon reaching the tower after a full day's journey, the Players find that it looks as if Harpen had wandered off in the middle of a meal now moldy from days of sitting.
There were journal pages scattered around the interior, and the Whisperline Radio unit was destroyed.

So ... what's been up in my campaign lately?
My Players recently took on a job for the Sheriff of Obsidian Run to go check up on a man named Harpen. For context, Harpen is one of the Talenta Watch rangers who lives in isolation in a Fire Watch tower well up into the Endworld Mountains.

This week has been the longest year.
Just a little update through Session 4 of my campaign, Off The Rails.

A faded looking poster telling people to "Join the Talenta Watch" in bold lettering at the top. The bottom of the poster features the lines, "Serve the Land", "Keep the Line", "Light the Way", and "Silly at the nearest Talenta Township Outpost today!" The imagery of the poster is a setting sun partially obscured by clouds as the first evening stars begin to show in the sky. The foreground features a fire watch tower sitting high up on a rough incline, a tall pine tree next to it, and a lone figure standing inside the tower's top looking outward. The background features various mountain peaks at further and further intervals, the more faded the further back they are. Pine trees line the nearest peak.
I made this "teaser poster" for the session we were supposed to have this past Friday. Session got canned, but I'm still pleased with the tie in with my homebrew lore! (Click to see the whole image)

I'll check this out right now since I'm driving home!
I know the song well. My Off The Rails campaign's got a couple areas with some very heavy Appalachian influence with the homebrew lore and writing I did for them.
Those both sound like absolute vibes! Nice ๐ค๐ป

I've made some playlists for a few NPCs and was curious if any of y'all do this for your characters, games, campaigns, and such?

Tonight, the sun sets over Ravenrock Ridge, a bustling and dusty frontier town in the Talenta Plains. And this night will forever alter their trajectory through this particular timeline.

An old timey typewriter is propped open, with an old stopwatch dangling from its lid. Where the paper would normally be protruding, a wooden sign is placed with the words "STIFLE YOURSELF" in a typeface that elicits a very nostalgic wild west feel. The typewriter and sign are surrounded by sun bleached white animal bones and lit white candles sticking out of various glass bottles. The scene is dark, only lit by these candies, the typewriter and sign casting a haunting glow on the wall behind them.
A New Chapter Begins..
Off The Rails officially begins this evening. My Players truly don't know what to expect, what horrors they may uncover, nor how dark the trail will become.
