There was a pair of them walking down a sidewalk on a major city street. We were all walking back to the intersection to cross to the other side.

The goose is fearless, faithful, and a terrific parent. I live in close proximity to both these birds. I'm sure the eagle has commendable traits too, but I've seen them faced down by geese, seagulls, and even crows. As a symbol, I'll take the goose.
