congrats to my dad now being 20 years clean & sober. i honestly don't know where i'd be without his help & i don't know where i'll be once he's gone either. but i'm glad he didn't let his demons consume him. i won't deny that i may have my days where i'm the most difficult, but i still love you.

today is already a great day. why? my tax refund finally arrived today. it's actually been ready for a while, but family helped to do my taxes and set it up to have it go to them first. aside from a couple things, most of that money is headed straight to my savings.

i may have had to pivot versions of hzd one week into playing[ignore that it's still the remastered box art on the schedule], but that won't stop me from enjoying this game. meanwhile, road to the show rolls right along as we see if we can make our major league debut in year 1 of our new career.

this really hurt to do since it was a gift, but it's just not worth playing a better version if my pc is gonna struggle with it even on minimum settings.

the good news is that it was so early in the game to do this and already i'm caught up. some things may look a little different but that's fine.

this is basically also why i played the collector's edition of alan wake last year. not to mention the remaster of that is epic exclusive. if it were say 3 years later, i would've played the remastered version of both of them.

stream coming up tonight at 7! last time out, we started horizon zero dawn, but it wasn't without it's share of technical issues such as needing to wait FIFTEEN MINUTES for shaders to precache. but once we got rolling, we got rolling. the main story awaits after all the early sidequesting we did.
