I'm quite proud of this one as a beginner exploring macro #photography.

True! Not only with videos, but other crafts as well.
I find it a bit too early to say if I like editing or not. I definitely like the creative side of it. Especially when I allow myself to make videos the way I like them.
Let’s see where this will take me. 😁
Making videos and editing them is completely new to me, though…
Actually no, but I keep rotating between different crafts and by the time I come back, I forget how to do certain things. 😆
A sneak peek of what I’ve been working on lately 😊 investing in my future self, who will hopefully thank me someday.

I like these colours and how they come together!
Looking forward to the Swiss Yarn Festival tomorrow 😀

But it's unfortunately also way too convenient for the fabric clips to land in there 😆
An off-white and indigo blue striped T-shirt hanging on a hanger. The neckband, armbands, and waistband are all in the same indigo colour.
My Uvita Top from Itch to Stitch is finally finished 🥳 I'm so happy how it turned out with all the modifications I did.

A serger with a cut-off bin full of tiny fabric trimmings. On top are three sewing clips that were accidentally dropped in while serging. Next to the bin is a piece of serged fabric.
I cannot be the only one who does this ...
Anyone else "collecting" sewing clips in the serger cut-off bin by mistake? 😬

A top made from off-white and indigo striped rib jersey fabric, showing both shoulder seams: one from the right side and the other from the wrong side. The seams are topstitched with indigo thread using 3-needle coverstitch.
Thanks!
I would have gone with ribbon if I‘d had some. The same goes for (light) bias tape. Well, at least I learned something new.
I‘m pretty sure that these shoulder seams won’t stretch with time 🙈 they feel pretty stable
Thanks a lot, I haven’t heard of Hilltop Cloud, but it looks interesting. And colourful! 😊
Hopefully, you will soon be able to spin more!
Thank you so much 😊 for your time reading it and your kind words - it means a lot to me!

I’m feeling quite adventurous today 😆 #sewing my first Uvita Top (Itch to Stitch)
I didn’t have any fusible stay tape for the shoulder seams so I improvised and used whatever I had at hand.
It’s not perfect and quite bulky, so let’s call it a design choice: add triple topstitch in this bold colour
And it's finally here: the blog post about my advent #handspinning 🥳

(The website is still a work in progress - that's actually the idea behind it)
Almost there. Thumbnail created and my reflection on advent handspinning written. I just need to finish some details and style my website a bit. I'm looking forward to being done with it 😃
To this day I’m still surprised every time by how much longer things take than expected.
Slightly oversized and snuggly for me. I very much prefer comfort. 🙂
I haven‘t heard of the book yet, but checking your website it looks very interesting. I guess I‘ve just found another weaving technique to explore, thanks a lot!
This looks stunning!
It‘s certainly not the easiest task to create such designs (let alone to actually weave them on a “simple“ loom, i.e. with picking up).
May I ask how you created the draft? Did you use a specific programme, do it by hand, or just go straight to the loom?
It looks amazing! 🤩
Do you know if it is structurally the same as Jacquard based on twills?
A white cart with three levels. The top one is covered with a bamboo lid, while the bottom ones are filled with bags from the World of Wool fibre advent calendar.
I’ve been on a break from fibre arts since finishing the advent handspinning journey. I’m taking some time to organise my thoughts and develop my creative workflows for my future adventures. I’m also writing a blog post about my advent spinning experience and creating a thumbnail for it. 😊
So true 😄
I like different textures of the sheep 🤩 It looks great!
This looks very nice! I think that the diamond pattern ties different colours together really well.
I see what you mean, thank you for the tip! I'll see what I can do since the yarns vary quite a bit, with WPI ranging from 9 to 19.
Thanks so much!!! ☺️
I‘m not yet sure what I‘ll do with them, but most likely I‘ll use most of them for weaving. I was thinking about overshot or inlay with commercial yarn to let the handspun yarn stand out.
I just wish that I could tolerate more than just a few of them.
Overhead view of 25 hanks of handspun yarn in various colours, from soft neutrals to brighter tones, arranged in a 5×5 half-drop grid on a wooden table.
It‘s so nice to see all 25 World of Wool advent spins at once 😊 #handspinning
You can be really proud of yourself! It takes courage to put yourself out there like this, and you did an amazing job. 😉
Thanks!
I was afraid that it would turn out muddy because of so many colours and plies.
