There is a reason that T loves the "uneducated". Good evidence confirming it, thanks for sharing it.

Boulder, CO did a while back. Don't know the current state of it.
the US reignited the Great Game of zero-sum competition. "Reagan ruined everything", but in this case, not just for the US, also Ukraine and the global south. Imagine having: 1) massively slowed CO2 increase 2) democratized energy production 3) maintained the basis for rules-based world order. 8/8
Rs didn't care about the new technology nor its potential to overthrow the basis of world trade, global institutions,& energy. By bowing out of competition for the next economic engine (in which the US ceded a 30+ year head start, granted by US space research & US taxpayers), 7/8
trying to shore up petro-tech by subsidizing and allowing short-term petro-profits to outrank long-term economic viability. US allowed itself to be creatively destroyed.
Carter was right, by the way, about everything. Reagan ripping solar off the White House roof was a early indicator that 6/8
By following through with investments in the technologies the US largely invented, such as batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines, the US could have continued prosperity through a technological revolution. Instead, just like Kodak, the US clearly lost its strategic mind, 5/8
There isn't any other rationale for US to have had the international privileges we have had. By using the government to give petro-billionaires in the US (and elsewhere) one last big juicy profit squeeze, Trump put the last nails in the coffin of US leadership. 4/8
reserve currency and military bases around the world. Losing these things will likely bring a broad instability in the world, but will also diminish US by making our debt less serviceable and will ultimately require that US rightsize its military to normal (non-world-policing) proportions. 3/8
Now that the US/Trump is destroying trade, is destroying fairness, is destroying secure energy flow and non-inflationary pricing, and is destroying institutions that have maintained peace, including the US military, it will only be a matter of time before US loses the privileges this afforded: 2/8
Not a historian, but it seems to me: The world agreed to US hegemony in aftermath of WWII to 1) keep trade fair and open, 2) keep energy flowing smoothly via standardized pricing and security, 3) fair institutions to maintain the peace, including the US military. Because US led with these ideas. 1/8
Demand Destruction? Woke.
Since we now understand that Big Oil and Putin support the reactionary right in the US, I am glad that China has been using renewables to undermine the lynchpin of US international power: oil. Without a reckless idiot making petro-risks obvious, the green transition would have taken longer.
Research shows diverse boards think and act more clearly and effectively. Take that a step further and we now understand that lack of a variety of viewpoints is really harmful (see cults, Fox addicts, online bubbles, etc.) in addition to the folks in power who need to listen to other points of view.
Before taxes and fees, GA Power overnight on a time of use tariff is .065/kwh, inclusive of fuel. Of course, the fuel is weighted towards fossil gas, so things might be changing...
Oklahoma, you don't have Markwayne to kick around anymore.
We have now graduated to the "Biblically sanctioned" phase of explaining our attack on Iran. Who knew that a modern Crusade could happen against the Pope's wishes? I guess the "Pope Trump" now determines the sanctity of these things.
Trump is practically begging China to take Taiwan since we are now tied up in Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Iran, and who knows where else tomorrow. I expect more chaos induced by the chaos he is creating.
Musk makes Nazi salutes and all viewers decide if it is transgressive or not. All in the eye of the beholder, amirite?
Starting a civil war in Iran... Seems like a legit move for a chaos creator.
Massie goes full beast mode today.
Gets on the house floor, shreds the DOJ and starts naming names from the Epstein files.
If Georgia Republicans want to maintain their credibility as independent of the Trump Republicans, they have to prevent these concentration camps from opening. They can't say they didn't know and they have worked very hard to date in maintaining their independence.
Had the corrupt Supreme Court not intervened on the side of Bush II, letting the votes in Florida be counted, Al Gore would have been president and everything afterwards would have been less bizzaro-world. Their appointment as a continuing cover-up conspiracy/reward are obvious.
You're actually missing something: the founding fathers didn't say anything about religion and politics, they said things about religion and governance. Anybody can bring their values to their political campaign. No one is supposed to prefer their religion from a place of governmental power.
You know who else didn't vote until they got their perfect candidate? MAGA voters, the basket of deplorables. It is painfully obvious that abstaining voters, like the MAGA before them, are looking for a charismatic savior, a single magic fix, instead of incremental improvements.
He's off his prescription meds again.
Let them fight.
Feels like an early Asimov novel.

I would pay these incel freaks a dollar a day if they would go back to their mothers' basements. A burden I would bear for the community of the decent (and maybe even the non-incel depraved).
This is the guy running the show? Where are the evil geniuses? How did he get out of the asylum? This guy is hopped up on Q theories and is apparently continuously drunk to "cleanse the water". Apparently he is living the movie Momento with demons and the deep state as shadowy enemies.
