Working on comics
Posts by Aric Calfee
All this stuff has been really funny over there, but seriously Damin, fuck that fire-haired slattern.
A a recently finished comic:
So weird seeing Stickboy all slabbed up like that!
Thank you! Dennis / Stickboy haven’t gotten enough appreciation in this world, in my opinion.
Add this list I wrote on my free (!!) Substack to your list of media that you need to consume as soon as possible:

An illustration of the famous talk show host Larry King in a desperate, violent battle with a member of The Care Bears. The Care Bear tries to pummel Larry with a large wrench, but Larry uses his years of martial arts training and highly developed knife-fighting skills to get the better of his foe. An encouraging slogan has been added to the bottom of the illustration, for the enjoyment and inspiration of viewers: “YOU CAN DO IT!”
“You Can Do It!” or “Larry King vs The Care Bears”

For me it’ll probably be yellow jackets. Trying to swat one out of my car, I’ll lose my concentration and drive off a cliff a la Toonces The Driving Cat.
This weekend, April 26 & 27, you can find me at Artist Alley table A116 at Super Jersey Comic Expo. This looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun! I’ll have the two issues of my comic Space Fart, some prints, stickers, paintings, and original comic art all available for purchase. See you there?
Not a fan either. A few years ago I looked at a large exhibition of his work and the only thought I had was “I’m very disappointed in you, Philadelphia Museum of Art.”
“TWO WEEKS!” until Super Jersey Comic Expo! I’ll be in Artists Alley at table A116. Hope to see you there!

Working on some Rafferty stuff.
Thank you! 🙏
A page from a four page comic about some clown finding a really valuable comic book in the cheap bins at his local comic shop.
I’m working on a little thing about having a really great day digging through the dollar bins, which may or may not have actually happened, or may have just been a dream, or may just be some silly little idea I came up with. Anyway, here’s a page from it.
That is so cool!
Here are some of my paintings. I’m not painting much anymore, mostly focusing on making comics. But I enjoy painting as well.
You’re correct, it was encouraging to see that reaction last night. “Toughening up” is more than adding Kurtis McD to the roster, it’s the star players, too, not just taking shit from other teams.

This is a comic I did that is in a very funny NSFW anthology called GULLIGAN’S ISLAND, a ‘spicy’ satire of a certain popular tv show set on a deserted island.

I have a free Substack where I write about my own comics and comics made by other people. I know, the world was clamoring for another guy writing about comics.
Anyway, I just published a post about how much I love Dennis Worden’s STICKBOY#1. Give it a look here:
