Literally cried and mourned when Canuck disappeared.

I was looking for sources and the quotes I can find off hand are more modern summaries of the attitude, rather than direct sources. But we’ve been doing the “kids these days” bit since at least the Socrates times. Lol. It’s most assuredly not a recent phenomenon.
