“Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!”
#HATM, Sunday night. 🤓

Well, once you've paid the bill, what's left?
🙃 #HATM
It's a great twist on a "final girl" outcome. In a typical horror scenario, the final girl overcomes the villain by mastering the tools of the killer.
In The Menu, Margot does this, but the tools are service and the dining experience, so she flips that instead.

Right after the fire marshall finishes writing up his report! #HATM
Margot plays a classic "final girl" trope with her overturning the power structure of villain to end up surviving the night.
And I really like the how she plays the chef perfectly to get to the outcome that even he wants. It's a well plotted end. #HATM
Wait! That was all you needed to do to escape the abattoir? Ask for a to-go box?
Okay, then. I'll take mine to go as well, chef. 🤪 #HATM
"You've taken the joy out of eating."
Margot/Erin goes for the jugular!

Warm Bodies was a weirdly charming movie. 🧟♂️❤️ #HATM
Somebody in the neighborhood is using a power tool... and the muted whine sounds like faint screaming and at first I couldn't tell if it was part of the film or coming from outside. 😬🙃 #HATM
That makes total sense.... after handing off the chocolate factory to Charlie, Wonka moves on to the world of haute cuisine.
So The Menu is a sequel to Wonka. 🤔 #HATM
So... what's the proper tip % for tonight's seating at Hawthorne's?
Asking for a friend 😬 #HATM
At this point, I'd be wondering if I could just go over to the sub window. #HATM
Omg... to this day I still do not know why that was a thing to do with Silly Putty... but I did it anyway bc, Silly Putty 🫠 #HATM

Dude... do not tease me about bread and then not serve me bread.... I'm out of here. Where's the boat. 🤨 #HATM
[I love bread... especially a good sourdough. There's a bakery in SF that makes a purple Ubu Sourdough that I will drive an hour to pick up a loaf.
Bread 😋]
I first noticed Ana Taylor-Joy in Last Night in Soho (2021) and I think she was phenomenal in that. I also think shill slayed in Queen's Gambit (2020).
#HATM
I do like a good tapioca... so there's some appeal to tah scenario for me. 🙃 #HATM
Whenever they say "chef" I keep expecting to see...
I've been conditioned by television 🤓 #HATM
Took me a minute to place the actress playing the hostess... It's Lady Trieu from Watchmen! [Hong Chau] #HATM
I went to Sonoma State University and went over to Bodega Bay whenever I could. It's my Platonic ideal of the Northern California coastline... plus the Hitchcock connection is 🤓. I've been to the church building which is not in BB but the nearby town of Bodega. #HATM
Doesn't it tho... I may need to see if my local Pizza My Heart is open after #HATM now that I'm thinking about it................
Yes! Open until 9pm PDT 😋
The "Big Sur" from Pizza My Heart. "Our most popular speciality pizza. 40 cloves of roasted garlic, pepperoni, sausage, portobello mushrooms, & green onions"
2) There's a pizza chain coming out of Capitola, CA (near Santa Cruz) called Pizza My Heart. Their Big Sur pie holds true to my personal belief that there is no such thing as too much garlic with 40 cloves of roasted garlic along with pepperoni, sausage, porto shrooms, and green onions. #HATM
Getting ready to watch "The Menu" (2022) with #HATM with a woefully inadequate chips and salsa side snack.
I watched this once before, but I don't currently remember with the "twist" is... but I do remember enjoying the movie and the cast.
I keep thinking that it should be a crazy 🤪 statement to say that the war is keyed to market manipulation, but we have seven weeks of a pattern that looks exactly like pump-n-dump market manipulation keyed to Trump’s statements………. 🦆 👀
And they say that the American work ethic is dead… 🫡
The built a machine… that can travel faster than human beings… and there’re excited about it… in a country with bullet trains, planes, and automobiles. 👀
Casablanca, The Princess Bride, original Star Wars… and I think RRR is moving into that zone.
Stares in high school 👀
I assign this speech to students after they’ve explored the events of the 50s and 60s Civil Rights movement.
I think everyone should watch this speech, often. It is inspirational and aspirational and the reminder that there is an America worth fighting for.
So that’s why they were “greatest generation”… ice cream barges.
