When my kids were little I gave them weekly “TV coupons” — one coupon per thirty minute show, and no more TV after they ran out.
EXCEPT, they could watch anything on @pbs for “free.” Because I knew any show on PBS was going to help me raise BETTER PEOPLE.
What a gift.
Shout out to my buddies who still have the urge to underline book titles every time you write them.
How’s the writing going? Well, my characters were squinting at a bright blue sky during a rainstorm…so…
I am so excited about this project!
More 👻s!!
You made my day when you told me your kids loved my story! 🤩
Thank you for reading & sharing @nancyhudgins.com

Seriously curious question for those who have step-moms. Is there anyone out there who had an honest to goodness good relationship with said person, even in the growing up years? I’d love to hear your thoughts either way.
Reupping this offer for #kidLitSky #EduSky #TLSky #LibSky to join me for our next @mgcoast2coast.bsky.social First Chapter “Free-Day” on Zoom on 1/31 from 1-1:30 EST. Bring you class to chat about #MGLit. Ideal for 4th-6th graders.
No one has more faith in my writing than the past me who wrote “fix this” on my manuscript for future me to find.
Boosting this opportunity—would make a great gift for the middle grade reader in your life!
I had to get rid of a character during revision today, and genuinely felt bad about it. But she did kind of bring it on herself. Like, sorry Tracy, but if you wanted to stick around you should have moved the plot forward more.
If you are the person the youngest family member wants to sit next to, congratulations. You are winning.
What a fun (and early) morning meeting up with members of the #ForTheLoveOfMG group. @laurastegman.bsky.social @baronchrisbaron.bsky.social @kchowrites.bsky.social @danakramaroff.bsky.social @jsamtaylorauthor.bsky.social @lauraparnum.bsky.social @nancytandon.bsky.social @alysawishingrad.bsky.social
Ok here is a starter pack of many of the authors and participants of #MGBookChat. I know I am missing many and some have not transitioned here YET. Let me know who needs to be added or wants to be added.

THE WAY I SAY IT is two years old! Thank you to all the teachers, librarians, reviewers, & readers who have supported my debut novel over the past two years. Core learnings from this time: stories can be powerful, writing friends are awesome, and rising tides lift all boats.
The incredible artist is Kristina Kister. 💚
Thank you @dbeckjacobson.bsky.social for hosting and highlighting THE GHOST OF SPRUCE POINT on your blog today! Up for grabs is a paperback copy of this cozy coast-of-Maine mystery...perfect for summer dreaming on these cold days! darlenebeckjacobson.wordpress.com/2024/01/18/n...
Some days writing is mostly deleting what you’ve previously written. 🤷🏼♀️
