Using this in my GCSE teaching. We need to diversify the curriculum and open up these pathways of thought.

Hairy dieters chicken cesar salad is a massive hit in our house.

Jamie olivers salmon wraps are another. Both super quick. They are my go to ones when late home and still want real food.

Dude... some of us have been back for 2 weeks now... I'm just getting back into the swing of things... start of term has so many little jobs you forget about.

Unfortunately I'm quite cynical here. I don't see a big enough difference between one word judgements and four word judgements to be swayed that this is meaningful change. ... it may be a start, but I am not currently convinced.

That's it! It's not that I don't see it as important to get kids moving.... it's just I'm crap at sports ๐Ÿ˜€

I've not heard of the solitare mystery. Will look that and the others up. We are just rounding off our individual books this week and starting this soon!

No problem. Our group has only been running a year, but starting to take shape. Good luck with yours! If you are part of a MAT it might be worth reaching out. I found this extremely helpful for resources and also support, (especially as a cis straight guy running a pride group).

We are also raising money towards the rainbow flag award and the profile of the group by putting on events. We had an in school cinema twice last yr. Ran by the group - all students could miss a morning lesson for a donation. Watched the Alan Turing film - imitation game, and 'next goal wins'

We have a mix. Safe space with some chill/ice breaking. Also some our students want a more activist approach so have that too. Had an anti- homophobia statement written by the students and passed through governors. Some wrote an assembly during lgbt+ history month and delivered to peers.

Ha! We did a dig at our school this year. We got so much out of it despite finding practically nothing. We are going to repeat it again this year.

Probably Portland Castle. Small, but A good few hours, including a visit to the cafe followed by open top bus ride to Portland bill.

Boy-girl seating plans are sexist. They also perpetuate misogynistic attitudes and damage both boys and girls. Think about what you are saying when you introduce this splitting on gender lines. #Edusky

Yep! That's what I thought! Also with the amount of support from colleagues (and the ocr b shared drive!) It is rare I can't at least get something quality ready quickly now in a pinch.

Was going to do lots of planning tonight but my pc has gone on the blink. Fixed it but need to restore a backup which will take 15 hours... extra date night it is!

#historyteacher & MWB

Does anyone have tips for using mini whiteboards (MWB) in the History classroom from those who use/have used them and have come across all the good and the bad with them.

I have plenty of ideas; concrete examples please!

๐Ÿ“Œ I would like to know the same, or more general advice. A lot of teachers in our school are just starting to use them.
