By using this as her justification, and by making sure she is protected by the administration in doing so, they are explicitly countering the Nuremberg lesson for any ICE agent who might have concerns about their personal culpability.

This is almost certainly cover for some senators to argue improvements being made when voting to fund DHS/ICE, and it does nothing to change course or address the harm already inflicted.

I find that predictive accuracy in hindsight does little to change people’s minds today. I can’t explain it, but it frustrates me to no end. Kudos to you for writing about and sharing your accurate predictions. I’ll personally keep up with your continued work.
