Today Speaker Emerita Pelosi hosted a special Politics & Eggs breakfast with our dedicated volunteers and special guest Rep. Jamie Raskin. It was an honor meeting one of the most brilliant minds in Constitutional law. 🇺🇸
And commit to working with everyone involved to find a resolution that allows them to stay in the Castro – and if the only resolution available to the Khoury family is a legislative one, I am in full support.
I join the overwhelming chorus in calling for continued advocacy in support of the Khoury family and their long-time 30+ years small businesses vital to the neighborhood…
Despite these challenges, the Khoury brothers’ businesses have long contributed to the vibrant corridor on Castro Street. The loss of these two businesses during the renovation of the Castro Theatre will only contribute to the empty storefronts in the neighborhood.
Both businesses are often bustling with activity – friends catching up over coffee and pastries or gossiping during a manicure.
Castro businesses face the same struggles other neighborhood businesses encounter across San Francisco – vacant storefronts, raising rents, and rising costs.
As a long-time Castro resident and neighbor I’ve patronized our small businesses over the past 15 years, and both Castro Coffee and Castro Nail Salon are anchors in our community.
Shout out to Hans How and team for raising critical funds tonight at QBar in the Castro for LGBT Asylum Project, Parivar Bay Area, and others.

How most of our weekend went… how could anyone not love San Francisco? 🥰
My primary care doc suggested a booster during my annual checkup just before Pride weekend (and citing that for the importance) - and he had it there is his office finally lol Had been about a year since I’d had a booster.
Love this!!! We’re thinking of renewing our vows and having an actual public ceremony at 10 years (another 1.5 to go) - this would be amazing!
Please support striking workers in the way they’ve asked for. Instead of a viewer boycott, which they haven’t asked for, can you commit to donating to the strike fund, which they have? Maybe an amount equal to what you pay for streaming each month, for even one of the streamers, if not all?
