I recommend trying out a jug of some sort of fancy mineral water. I've only had one brand that made the tea taste worse. But it's always up to personal preference, the same tea can be made in so many different ways. Some people put bamboo charcoal in their water to import qualities of mountain water

Lipton bagged black tea. Higher quality tea would have a similar but less extreme difference.
