This is such an insane decision...You could have "a skeleton crew" and hire on "a per project basis" but you lose so much of the social glue, trust and the collective skillset of the wider team that is built up through constant collaboration over years. You can't buy that from the lowest bidder.

“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. I was so happy to paint a singing merfolk lady and her bandmates, thank you so much for trusting me with them! 🐟🎶

This one was super interesting, I had fun looking at historical weapons and armors, and posing with a broomstick for reference. :D

The only thing artists must not do is trace or paint over each other's art for personal or professional pieces.

The caveats being for feedback purposes where permission has been obtained in advance, and if an artist explicitly allows for others to modify or make interpretations on their work.
