The answer is Chain Pier!
A boutique pilot distillery in Edinburgh, operating between Oct 2018 & Nov 2019 while Bonnington was under construction.
During that short period, just 39 casks were produced using a 500L copper pot still, making it one of the rarest modern single malts from the city.

Guess Release 10
Where tide-worn stone and salt-slick timber hold the light,
A quiet shore keeps watch through morning grey and white.
Rare and fleeting, a name not many ever knew,
A coastal memory preserved in amber hue.
(the picture holds more clues!)
Any thoughts?

The answer is Mannochmore!
Its name comes from Gaelic, meaning “great monk”. It sits hidden among the trees of Speyside and shares its site with Glenlossie next door.
Thanks to everyone who guessed and took part - here' the full label info for our new Release 10 Mannochmore 12 year old 😀
Deep in the trees where shadows gather & light grows thin,
A Spey spirit rests where the forest draws u in.
Not the loudest name, but 1 for those who know,
A quiet neighbour 2another where twin stillhouses flow.
Hidden in blends, it rarely sees age,
But once in a while an Indie brings it to stage.
*Guess Release 10*

What a result at Spirits Selection by CMB. Only 2 grand gold were awarded to Scotch whisky & two were ours! Another 3 gold & a silver behind it really finished it off.
Both Grand Golds are sold out from our end so make sure to grab a bottle from your fav stockist! The gold winners aint far behind!
A wee update on our whereabouts over the next few months! We have some exciting bottlings in the works so if you haven't already make sure you grab a ticket and pop along to one of the upcoming events!

If you are in the area come along &say hi or buy a ticket for one of our masterclass tastings!
Aww shucks. Haha. It's been really flying a bit like the North British in the release before it.
We hosted 2 tastings of about 22 & 28 people in the past week & sold 7 bottles and voted top or joint top at both.
I can't see this one hanging around much longer! Especially as it is only 174 bottles
Has it got some inchmurrins going in it?
Tempted to release the 15yo and the Braes of at the same time since they are technically the same distillery!

Like a dog or a wolf? Woof woof
... in a refill barrel again.. not sure what on earth I'll put on label. Refill bourbon, matured for 6months in Super Tawny Port, finished in Refill Barrel .. haha. Anyway I know that wood is super active so keen 2see how it performs as a '2nd Fill' on our Mannochmore -I don't think it'll need long!
Yeah definitely. Often attention to detail lost when it comes to the big boys (which is understandable). For example we released our Blair Athol 'Super Porto' I only bottled half the cask. It was so active that 6months was taking it to the limit flavour wise. So the other half is now 'finishing' ...
Wood* .. why can't you edit on this!? Haha
We for example we have 2 oloroso casks. One used as a 1st fill for 5 years in our Aultmore, one for 21 months in the Glen Garioch.
Both will technically be 2nd Fill... but the difference in activity of the woof between the two should be quite marked.
That info is key really.
Hoping it works out! Being able to discuss some of our future releases by informing ppl of not only it being a '2nd Fill PX' but what it was used for as a 1st fill & how long. In theory ppl will be able to try our Tamnavulin 1st Fill PX alongside this ** 2nd Fill knowing it's the same cask for both.
We have..
2nd Fill PX
2nd Fill Bourbon x 4
2nd Fill Rubino Marsala
2nd Fill Palo Cortado
2nd Fill Tawny Port
Also a 1st Fill PX
