I’ve decided that for this week, I’m not checking the news, and instead paying attention to all the things I’m grateful for. It’s a spiritual practice. We can take breaks from the yuck.

Trans servicemembers who have served 19 years will lose their pensions and healthcare.

This is obscene. They served our country, and will be kicked to the side like trash.

To grab the limelight, Nancy Mace has targeted Sarah McBride, the nation’s first elected trans House member. The vitriol from Mace has been contemptible.

This is in sharp contrast with McBride, who has acted commendably and with grace. And ironically, McBride now has high national visibility.
