SASS met with Mayor Farkas where he signed a proclamation proclaiming April as Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month. We were honored to be able to sit with the Mayor and share about autism, SASS' work, and witness this proclamation! @jeromyyyc.bsky.social

Big fan of mayors who bike.
The full interview with both Mayors Knack and Farkas is great. Pouring myself another tea while I listen.

Two men in a bike shop pointing at each other. The man in a suit is smiling at the camera. The man in the apron is looking at the other guy.
The best part was hanging out with these two. @jeromyyyc.bsky.social and we both needed to get our bikes ready for the season. Sean's the right man for the job.
A man taking a selfie. He is riding a cargo bike and stopped at an intersection downtown. The bike counter shows 973.
Sorry about the snow. Just swapped to summer tires. (Thanks, @bikebikeyyc.bsky.social)
Honoured to introduce Mayor @jeromyyyc.bsky.social at Wednesday’s @calgaryeconomic.bsky.social Report to Community.
Went a bit off script—but I believe in standing up for what’s right. Our city and province need future-focused leadership.
Thank you, Mayor Farkas, for speaking out.
Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas came out with some pretty strong words against Alberta separation — and in favour of immigration as a strength for the city — in his remarks at a Calgary Economic Development event yesterday:
Mayor @jeromyyyc.bsky.social coming out swinging against separatism while also celebrating the strength of a diverse and connected Canada--with Calgary at its heart.
"Our message is simple: you are welcome here!"

Calgary, we want you to tell us where we can best focus our transit. Please help us out by sharing your thoughts here:

Over the past few weeks, crews have worked around the clock (through snow and shine), to make the necessary reinforcement repairs to the Bearspaw Feeder Main.
Calgarians really stepped up by saving water - helping crews keep the work moving and getting us to listing restrictions today.
The moment we’ve all been waiting for… all water restrictions are officially lifted. 🙌
The feeder main is filled, water quality testing is complete, and the pipe has been reconnected to the rest of the water distribution system.
Calgary mayor Jeromy Farkas (sporting a duck tie) says the city has been living in a new reality since the feeder main broke on Dec 30. He says the reinforcements don’t mean the city is out of the woods, and the city cannot afford to become complacent.
Today's ride into the office was an adventure. Including a white rabbit on one of the downtown lanes!

The trans flag is unfurled on a flagpole in front of Calgary City Hall--a historic sandstone building with a clock tower.
Joy and pride and celebration. It's Transgender Day of Visibility and the flag is flying at your City Hall.

7 days in a row - the green streak continues! Yesterday’s water usage was 494 million litres (ML), keeping us in the sustainable zone.
Refilling the pipe is complete, testing the water continues and we plan to turn on the pumps today.
Quick update on my way to City Hall. The blanket rezoning hearing is recessed while Council handles scheduled business and resumes Thursday. On deck today: Auditor report, Green Line update, 10-year capital plan, regional cooperation, growth plans and 2026 property taxes. Watch: calgary.ca/watchlive
✅We’re back in the Green!
Yesterday’s water usage was 490 million litres (ML) which brought us back into the green zone. Your efforts are the reason we hit this number, let’s keep the momentum going!

Let’s reset our green streak and get back on track! Yesterday’s water demand was 506 million litres (ML), putting us in the risky red zone.
Every shortened shower and every full load of laundry and dishes helps take the pressure off our system while the feeder main reinforcement continues.
Wow! Nicely done.
Today, Muslim communities in Calgary and around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. After a month of fasting and reflection, families gather in gratitude and generosity. May this day bring joy, peace, and blessings. Eid Mubarak to all celebrating.
I'm getting much better at not flushing every time.
Never thought I'd write that sentence before.
"If you wanna see that."
