@dannyheifetz.bsky.social going to DC for the Lions game, any recommendations on must-go places in the city? Best places to eat/drink? Staying near Georgetown

Should have put him with today's newspaper ๐
Proof that Jelly bear is still alive
@dannybkelly.bsky.social my son has a stuffed bear named Jelly, and I was listening to the pod the other day (bad parenting, I know) with him around, he heard you yell "JELLY IS DEAD" in reference to the zoo bear. He cried for like 40 min because he thought his bear was dead.
This is just one of those things in life where you can never truly understand how someone else is feeling, you just have to respect the decision and wish them well. Unfortunate for the Lions, but that's life. Hope Frank has a peaceful retirement!
Top burglar says asking homeowners for permission to enter their house would 'kill' the burglary industry
and yet, they absolutely will.
More than the talent accumulation and all that, I think this is the thing I appreciate about this regime the most. No shitheads.
@coltonpouncy.bsky.social to your point on the latest pod, I absolutely appreciate the way Holmes and Campbell value character. There have been players in the past on teams I root for that have been, uh, shitty people that makes it *really* hard to enjoy the thing I love.
Never realized how lucky I was growing up. My first real console was the SNES/Genesis, but I have early memories of this an Kid Icarus
Part of me really wants to win this, but part of me will be relieved when I don't have to explain to my wife what this shirt is/means.
Every year I get some version of this same text regarding a free agent we didn't sign
You can create your own feed tab that only shows specific accounts, that way you don't have to unfollow or mute anyone :)
Absolutely cannot wait to hear this conversation between @dannybkelly.bsky.social and @craighorlbeck.bsky.social
This is good work
He has been gone...
@dannybkelly.bsky.social is my spirit animal
Modano for USA, Yzerman for Canada
It looks like a test scorebug they forgot to finish
It's sad to me that players/coaches legacies are so coupled with these awards. I think of a guy like Phillip Rivers, who was an excellent QB that no one really thinks about anymore because he played in the Brady/Manning era. Was never going to win MVP, and because he never won a SB, he's just a guy
I mean, I understand the struggle of deciding between the two because it was extremely close, but sometimes you just gotta make a decision and stick with it lol.
I don't really have a preference either way (both players were MVP level guys, it's ok everyone), but I am a bit surprised that Lamar got first team All Pro but not MVP. I thought it was the same voter pool, am I mistaken?
"I love escalators because they cannot break, they only become stairs.
"Escalator out of service, sorry for the convenience""
Sometimes you just gotta pretend, and think about the warm times.
As a software engineer, I fully endorse this. Some of the kids I work with, their entire identity has been tied to their perceived intellect, so the SECOND that it's challenged or they run into a situation where they aren't the smartest in the room, their identity is gone and they lash out.
You know Baalke is bad when a candidate re-engages because the GM will be "not Trent Baalke" lmao
I liked React more when I was leaning be cause the community (so many resources available!), but I like Angular for the typescript support and library tools. Haven't really delved into Vue
