A COSHH assessment concentrates on the hazards and risks from hazardous substances in your workplace, but health hazards are not limited to substances labelled as hazardous.

Some harmful substances can be produced by the process you use at work e.g. wood dust from sanding.

Employers: It makes sense to consult and involve your workforce.

Your workers and their representatives know first-hand what the risks in the workplace are and can often suggest practical solutions to control them.
