The more relevant part for me is/was that despite all that he’s still telling me this dark ass story about decapitation and loss with a degree of nonchalance and swagger and that’s just how he’s always been.

It involved a car accident in the 70’s. It’s hard to recount the specifics because my Dad was telling me the story over the phone from his hospital bed. His voice is weak and shaken from Parkinson’s and there was a persistent chatter of a television and various beeping medical monitors.

The notion that we’ve run out of ideas is one of the most ridiculous statements I’ve ever heard. Ideas are a dime a dozen, we get rehashes of previous ideas because everyone’s trying to mitigate risk. Unproven ideas are risky by and it’s hard to take risks when everyone is living in a razors edge.

Have you even talked to your parents on Christmas if you don’t get at least one story from the family lore that involves a double decapitation?

Look, I can’t even pretend to claim that I’m smart enough to fully appreciate this but I’m at at least smart enough to appreciate that anything @hellomizk.bsky.social puts her hand to is worth taking a look at so there’s that.

I’m guessing it’s moderated by default now. I don’t recall ever turning that on and you can’t even enable it through the app itself.

That would still require them to have enough staff to do the work. Buying studios in a convenient way to acquire already established and working teams.

This is very clearly the direction in which things are headed, especially since so many of the people who built and maintained the tools the US IC has developed-in house have been fired or have left.

SFILEN San Francisco Immigrant Legal & Education Network

If you live in San Francisco, today is a good day to familiarize yourself with the San Francisco Rapid Response Network, which has a 24-hour hotline for reporting ICE raids, actually verifies those raid reports, and does attorney activation: sfilen.org/resources/sf...

Lovely, there was an expedition of her work here in SF about a year ago. While I don’t know where she stood on such things it definitely felt like her male studies were a chore in comparison to her fem portraits.

Indeed - sadly I want to be like ‘well it depends on their definition of what a fine young boy means’ but if they’re putting it on a bus like that we can make some conclusions…

I know for a lot of folks something like Folsom is all about kink and sexuality but today I just really felt very loved and accepted by friends and strangers regardless of that context.

If you're into the 1920s/30s and art depicting common people's lives and night scenes of New York, you'll love the art Martin Lewis (1881 – 1962) made.

For the record I’m still alive, I was lucky enough to land a new job after the post launch layoff but the new job has been very intense. I did manage to make this tree study that I’m happy with though so there’s that.
