Poilievre says Carney has been 'losing, losing, losing' on U.S. trade war | CBC News Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre launched a pointed attack on the Liberal government's handling of the Canada-U.S. file Tuesday, saying the results so far have fallen well short of the mark and th...

PP knows that nobody listens to him anymore, right? What a buffoon.

Article about Ford Motor Company complaining about Chineses EVs.

Article about Ford Motor Company complaining about Chineses EVs.

‘Allowing the Chinese companies in would be "devastating” to American manufacturing, which Farley calls "the heart and soul of our country.”’

One more unforeseen benefit of US fascism: US automakers losing billions and crying loudly about it. Music to the world’s ears.

Anyone defending Platner, knowing about his Nazi tattoo and Nazi past, has lost the plot. Once a Nazi sympathizer, always a Nazi. Do better, Dems.

Yes! More of this, please. The only good thing that might come out of the Trump/MAGA era is the permanent diminishing of US influence in the world. It is a much needed correction, and it looks really good on the former “leader of the free world.”

This is the USA: under any US gov’t, these shootings would have occurred. Morally bankrupt since before 1776, the nation is now mired in terroristic as well as stochastic violence. But hey: tomorrow is a new day, right? Maybe if y’all wish and hope enough, someone will come along to save you.

It’s such a treat when the garbage takes itself out.

2/ This — the destruction of a major industry, and of millions of jobs (at first) — is something no politician will touch, and deep down, few Americans would support. We did it, but we had to fight like hell against the greedy insurance and medical industries. Not sure the will is there in the US.

It will never happen in the US. The uniquely American worship of private enterprise, seen in no other nation, condemns them to the status quo — no one wants to do the dirty work of nationalizing healthcare, because it means destroying the medical insurance industry, which is a model of US greed. 1/

The proverbial icing on the cake is: This all happened under PP’s “leadership” of the Cons.

Only the US would ever try to insinuate its immigration agents into another nation. The US is the only nation that every other nation is currently having to defend itself from. A belligerent bully that no one in the US seems capable of or willing to stop.

After attacking Pope Leo, Trump faces backlash over Christ-like AI post | CBC News Pope Leo told Reuters on Monday that he plans to continue speaking out against war after U.S. ‌President Donald Trump's direct attack the previous day on the leader of the 1.4-billion-member church.

“Not even Hitler or Mussolini attacked the pope so directly and publicly.”

The US is no longer a serious nation, run by serious, good people. It is not just embarrassing; it is ghastly. No one anywhere in the world takes anything from, by, or about the US seriously.

That many (at least 100,000) would look great surrounding the White House and or Capitol. Any Americans planning this?

Once again, better people in other - uninvolved - countries have to step in to help the US conclude another ill-advised mass murder operation (the US calls them “wars”).

I still have faith in them, though. They will eventually have enough of it all. 🤞🇨🇦🇺🇸

She’s weak and scared, and mean. I blocked her — have to take out the garbage sometimes!

Your comment is well stated: the US is still so stunned, they seem paralyzed.

I sincerely wish we could.

Yet, you are okay with asking other nations to help? That is the whole point of this post and comment thread, after all. If the US is so poor that its people cannot fight fascism, just admit defeat. You cannot do anything but wait for rescue — we get it.

For all the chatter about Trump’s idiocy, it seems he’s playing us all. The whole time he’s threatening genocide, he’s just manipulating the markets. Be careful, USA: if Trump can be seen to right a sinking economy, MAGA may win 2028. You need someone who can get ahead of his obvious feints.

Yes, and all that bitumen goes to your country to be refined — with no protest from you all. You are moving goalposts all over the place — you have no argument; you’ve embarrassed yourself with a racist comment; now go away.

We did. Citizen action and the resulting court cases have made it nearly impossible for the current active mining companies, and the ones bidding now for mineral rights, to circumvent climate restrictions. We (the people) also stopped old-growth logging, by protesting 24/7/365. See? It works.

We leave the strip mining to the American mining companies we stupidly allowed in.
