Hush! You’re sooo louuuuud! 🤣 But yep. If I make it to the end of halftime sans Sunday nap, I’m winning.

I don’t usually make NY resolutions. But this year I have a big one and I’m excited about it. When it’s accomplished, I’m throwing the biggest damn party!

Absolutely love this perspective!! You’ve inspired me to stop being cautious about the next year. Instead, I’m gonna lean the hell in to this joy!

Absolutely not the same! A coworker was raving about a different brand and encouraged me to try it. TRASH!!!

Phew! I’d be high for a month on that much. I’m a light weight so 20 has me floating and giggling heavy.

I’m certain he does. Sadly, u don’t think this Congress has the chops to do a damn thing about what will be said.

A photo of 16-year-old me with Senator Paul Wellstone in his DC office. A handwritten message at the bottom of the photo reads, “Fatimah… Thank you for all your help. I look forward to your future! Paul”

I interned for Paul my senior year of high school. He took the time to mentor me, let me shadow him for an entire day, and took a genuine interest in my growth. I think of him often and wish he could be here to see the impact he had on my life.

Same. I’ve been leaning into the oversized look lately. It’s either that or buy new clothes even though I’m still losing.

NYC procurement person chiming in: Go to checkbooknyc.com, find the vendor MTA used, place an order (or ask for something similar).

I work in an open office with low cubicles. Every day in office is me trying hard to drown out other people’s conversations so I can focus on my work. Seriously considering asking my doc to give me a reasonable accommodation to work from home for the next 6 months.

Gin is delicious and goes with everything (to me). That bourbon/whiskey is waaaay too intense for my taste. But I’ll dabble from time to time.

Go on ahead and take some ibuprofen and an ice bath now. Tomorrow you may be very stiff.

Two weeks ago I was deep in the throes of heartbreak. I took off from work and stayed in bed all day crying… then I did something I’m proud of. I reached out to my fave therapist to see if we could resume sessions after a nearly 3 year hiatus. Today was our first session. Thank you, past me!

Them other countries likely looking at us like… reap what you sow.

I wonder if an international coalition opposing USA similar to the South African anti-apartheid movement is coming.

A few nights ago, Louis Reyes Rivera came to me in a dream. My mom worked at Pratt when Louis was teaching there. He often rescued me from the boredom of Mom’s office. He took me to breakfast, and answered all my toddler questions without complaint. A great man. A kind man. I miss him so!

LGA is so pretty now… except who decided CARPET was the way to go? Even this low pile stuff makes rolling your bag a chore.

After burying my cousin, we went around the corner and visited my brother’s crypt. The tears I shed! Can’t wait to laugh and drink with my cousins and uncles tonight.
