I figured if I wasn't going to be fast I may as well try and put down an extra kilometer on top of my normal run. 🥵

Did my first outdoor run of the season before our weekly snow storm rolls in. It went.... Not well... Bad time and all the little minor rises and falls on the trail just killed me. I've been running on a flat track too long. 😭

I finally took dad's old road bike in and had it overhauled after sitting in dry storage for 30+ years.

I just need to get a helmet and some of those funny looking bicycle shorts and I'll be ready to put some miles down on it this summer.

It's been weeks of this insanity!

Stupid thing is they have a home gym. An expensive one at that. It's juat trying to figure out how to get them into the habit. Dad's the stubborn type.

He's even jabbed at me before. "you're looking too thin" and "all that running is going to fuck up your knees"

I do have to admit I am slightly concerned about my parents. I was over for dinner the other night and both of them have put on a fair bit of weight. On top of that it seems like they aren't really making any strides to change course.

I suspect my mom wants to but that dad is dragging his heels. 🫤

Well being sick isn't going to be helping, but I can relate. I seem to oversleep on weekends and undersleep during the week.

I'm dealing with someone on FB marketplace who wants to buy my old phone and he's so maddening I almost want to agree to his stupid offer just so I can meet him in person to tell him what an idiot he is! 🤬

I interrupted a fox chasing down his dinner on my evening walk last night. He back paddled a few dozen yards and then just glared me down.

Interesting that this is the first time I have seen a fox in town. I guess it makes sense given how many wild rabbits there are in the area.

Touche. They are fairly consistent, sometimes they vary by a couple of hours but probably quite negligible by comparison.
