Please, someone make Cline scriptable. So much better than Aider (although I love Aider).

– Career advice: Learn to prompt in these tools now as alternative to manual coding. This will become your job. Don't fret, industry will always need curious devs with high aptitude and good work ethic. But your job will change. Buckle up.

– Aider (scriptable) is promising but pitiful compared to Windsurf/Cline/Cursor (not scriptable?), the latter of which provide more automated workflows and helpful context.
– We need alternative to Aider that performs like Windsurf/Cline/Cursor, or some way to script the latter.

– For devs that want to use the tools in earnest for 8 hours day with multiplicative productivity wins, we're going to need $200-500 monthly compute budgets.

Thoughts on agentic coding tools, models:

– Claude 3.5 Sonnet powered new gen of coding tools.
– For other models to be useful in Windsurf/Cursor/Cline, they need to high success % with diff format. Ugh.
– Deepseek v3 is cheap enough to inspire writing bots.

2025 is when all our side-project dreams and dormant domains come to life.
