Don’t forget elitist!

Yup. Very clearly an explicit attempt to evade lawsuit by just saying, “it was totally the agency’s own decision…”

And really important to have mass media articles like these to demonstrate the lies (e.g., can be used as exhibits in lawsuits).

‘Silence is complicity’ — universities must fight the anti-DEI crackdown Higher-education establishments must not be bullied into abandoning their mission of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Rebecca Calisi Rodríguez writes in Nature that higher-education establishments in the US must not be bullied into abandoning their mission of diversity, equity and inclusion. “Higher education must not back down. But to win this fight, universities need a plan.” #Academicsky 🧪

They also didn't ask him if he'd waste huge $$$ on "research" on whether vaccines cause autism- because we already have those results, and they don't. Liar, quack, and fool.

Senators asked RFK Jr. the vaccine questions American moms want answers to The 19th spoke to medical experts about what Kennedy can and can’t do around vaccines if confirmed to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

Back then (a lifetime ago), they didn't think to ask about cuts to NIH funding - and today, active projects on vaccine hesitancy are being terminated. tinyurl.com/munvb4b7

So glad this trial is in Canada so it can actually happen.

Opinion | RFK Jr., measles and the mom math I shouldn't have to be doing again We survived the nightmare of watching our son battle RSV in the pediatric ICU. It never occurred to us that we'd later have to worry about measles with our daughter.

"'I am anxious, both as a pediatrician and as a mother,' she said. 'I’m nervous that if our herd immunity rates fall low across the board & around the country, it is going to make my more vulnerable pts — those w/ cancer, immune deficiency, etc. — at higher risk...'" 🛟 medsky sociology

Screenshot of a 3/10/2025 Linkedin post by Annette Regan, a scientist at Kaiser Permanente showing the email she received from NIH terminating her grant to evaluate vaccine hesitancy in adolescents.

Post:

"Here is the email I just received from NIH terminating my grant to evaluate vaccine hesitancy in adolescents.

'It is the policy of NIH not to prioritize research activities that focuses gaining scientific knowledge on why individuals are hesitant to be vaccinated and/or explore ways to improve vaccine interest and commitment. NIH is obligated to carefully steward grant awards to ensure taxpayer dollars are used in ways that benefit the American people and improve their quality of life. Your project does not satisfy these criteria.'

Thank goodness we are pretty much finished with the work, because we learned so very much about what teens think about vaccines and how they are making vaccine decisions with their parents. It was such a rewarding project to lead, and I'm happy the science will still be shared with the community. But I'm sad that this is a clear sign that our plans to build on this work are clearly unwanted and unfundable under this administration.

But I am most of all saddened, outraged, and disgusted that the US government would limit science and knowledge in this way."

She includes a screenshot of the email itself, which is simply:

"Good Evening,

Funding for the [Project Number] is hereby terminated. Please see the attached document for further details.

Kind Regards,
[Deputy Branch Chief's email signature line and affiliations]

I guess ~39 other NIH-funded projects focused on vaccine hesitancy got a similar email today...

I agree, but honestly they are not even close to identifiable in this. I’m even wearing my reading glasses and can’t tell anything other than they are short and the colors of their jackets. Maybe on a larger screen it’s different.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Scientists are called on more and more to respond to questions about their results. We tried to put down some ideas for the best ways to do that based on our years of observing these interactions. Engaging is better than not, especially when science is under attack. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Medicaid coverage for virtual visits ends April 1st.

As someone who cares for children that live up to 8 hours away, this is DEVASTATING.

Children, adults, elderly will all suffer.

Undaunted: Courage is Contagious This week, The Contrarian honors Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear

Andy Beshear. He demonstrates what it takes to reach voters who have been hoodwinked into thinking Trump is their savior. Clear communication, empathy, and addressing their economic and health concerns. open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

They don’t. At all. That’s a reason that it’s so appealing to just get rid of it. All of those pesky investigations are *poof* gone, PLUS you get to outlaw kinds of human beings, plus you can directly benefit from eliminating more and more regulations when there are no rules about COI etc.

But a quick follow up. What is the motivation for Trump to want to be chairman of the Kennedy Center?
