The whir of the CD Drive doing its best playing counter point…
New episode tomorrow!
Had a GREAT playtest session of Before the Season Ends today with @planesailinggames.com, @czamboni.bsky.social, and @sociable-turtle.bsky.social! It went so much better than I'd thought/feared/hoped; I'm so pleased with the way they've embraced the game! 💐
Because always fun to talk games.
TTRPG about me.
First: CyberGeneration
Last: Daggerheart
Longest: Blades in the Dark

Favourite Art: Jianshi
i know a hwoarang main when i see one
I use foundry because when I put in information the app can find and link to it based on the title. Very handy for the context.
If someone wants to do Griot Anthology APs, I would love to help. I have tried yo get this going before, but crickets (as is the norm, sigh)... but seriously there are great games here that are worth people's time and attention to see in an AP.

Promo graphic with pink text Mortal Skein: Dark Fates, Epic Fantasy over a murky painting of struggling gods.
I've finally made a fantasy adventure game!
In Mortal Skein you play the Augured, epic characters with world-changing destinies - or dooms. Fate has something in store for you, but will you gain glory in fulfilling it, or denying it and making your future your own?

Being a good manager is about making space for people to do their best, whether that’s fighting higher-ups to ensure the workers’ needs are met, providing resources and mentorship, or listening when they need advice. I truly love managing people. Unfortunately most managers have different ideas
Very excited to get the PDF of Agents of AEGIS by @geoffquest.bsky.social. Also very excited that I got it within 2 months of the kickstarter fulfilling!
I find that much more impressive than the backed in 60 minutes cheer but arrives in 3 years.
#kickstarter #fullfillsin2months
Some Place to Be is an interesting work to think about in terms of how asexuality affects it. Three of us who have been making the show since the beginning are ace and each of us made an asexual character. All 3 of those characters are sex positive and sex favorable aces so to the untrained eye (1/)
On March 24, 2001, during a spring training exhibition game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants in Tucson, Arizona, Randy "The Big Unit" Johnson hit a bird with a baseball.
Me and @tomharrison.bsky.social try to stop this event from happening.
It's a good podcast, y'all.
A leather looking cover with gold foil Ars Magica Definitive edition at the top with a symbol of three serpents coiling around themselves with the tails forming a circle and the bodies forming a triangle.
Another classic is Ars Magica! Troupe play! Language based magic! They recently released the Definitive edition but I still have me my fourth edition stuff.
But MHR felt more dynamic with your powers, with real consequences for darker powers pushing the GM's ability to cause problems for the players in the scenes. The fun number of dice you got to roll, and a use for all those d8s. Not to mention "popcorn" initiative.
I know there's a new one, and there's nothing wrong with it. I snickered at the kind of pseudo In Nomine dice mechanic. It just feels more like other superhero games if that makes sense? I have played Champions from 4th edition and like the power sets and everything else feels heavily inspired by it
Book cover with the Marvel logo at the top and 6 superheroes on the cover. Spider Woman, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Captain America, and Spider man. The words Heroic Roleplaying are at the bottom.
The list, it keeps growing! Um ... two more to add.
@nerdburgercraig.bsky.social Marvel Heroic Roleplaying is still my most favourite super hero RPG because it was a game where it felt that you could have wildly different power level in the superheroes and still have them all be effective.
A white cover with a person in red high heels and a blue pantsuit is walking holding a briefcase where this red energy is escaping out the back. There is a city that is upside down in the background. The words Triangle Agency: clock in. Save the world. Is in the bottom right corner.
Also picked up a physical copy of Trianglr agency at @breakoutcon.bsky.social. I had picked up the PDF during the kickstarter but had to get a physical copy because the book is beautiful. Also it just hits funnier when you are reading it like the corporate manual it claims to be!
The game also sets itself up so that the difficulty should be that only one character survives the whole thing, which is fine because it's a souls-like. Death is part of the game.
It's a beautiful looking game from @rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social which covers that whole souls-like combat thing in a very abstract way. Instead of a huge combat grid there's a combat map where you dictate your relationship to the monster you are fighting.
A dark city spewing smoke into an auburn sky whil three people stand in front of a blue orb with blood red magic spinning around it with the hints of a fanged skull appear at the top of the magic. One person holds a mace, one holds a lantern, and one holds a staff.
Every have an idea for something and as you start to write it down someone who clearly had a similar idea years ago is bringing it to fruition and doing it much better so you put down the idea and just back the game. That was my experience with Hollows.
A purple coloured cover with four llamas on it acting like they are on a reality TV show. The title at the top reads Drama Llamas
Picked this up at @breakoutcon.bsky.social through the @ipr.bsky.social booth. Adorable little game where you play reality TV but as llamas. The fact that the game asks you to make a llamaverse and fill it with Llama puns is perfect. No notes.
The game play is the Storypath system but the premise is that you're all Psions (people with psychic powers) who are there to protect the world from the return of the superheroes (Abberants) who did great things, and then with all the power turned into villains.
The title Trinity Continuum: Aeon at the top in big red letters. The center has pictures of galaxies, spaceships, floating above earth. There are also people on the cover and some "super heroes" who are the villains of the game.
Fun fact, I do have my old "White Wolf" game but ... it was never any of the WoD stuff. I got into ... TRINITY! because of course I did. This is the Aeon timeline for Trinity, the update that Onyx Path did in 2019. Because goodness knows if I can't come sideways at something, would I be me?
A black and white photo of 6 men standing around two large treets they are in the process of cutting down. The title says Lonely Timbers: a game of lumberjacks and masculinity by Jason Pitre.
Will always rep Lonely Timbers by @genesisoflegend.bsky.social. There's a second edition coming and I can't give Jason my money fast enough. It's a game set in Northern Quebec in the logging camps in the 19th century. Talks a lot about isolation, masculinity, and is a very French Canadian game.
Black back ground with red letters you will die in this place done up in a cross with you will place on the vertical and die in this on the horizontal. It's got the Shrike Studios logo and the names of the contributors on it.
You Will Die in This Place was something that intruiged me as a premise. Reading the book a little bit is has a bit of a Mork Borg meet the Princess Bride kind of vibe to it. That whole meta-narrative worked for Triangle Agency but I'm not sure about this yet but I'm willing to give it time.
The cover of a book titled teenagers from Outer space the anime comedy role-play game. The cover has a series of characters, a young Japanese school boy in his outfit a Medusa with gray skin sporting workout gear. It looks like a banana in the bottom left corner an alien in fishnet, short shorts, gloves, and a top with green hair, planes, bombs, frisbees, tank things just generally silliness.
Old school @rtalsoriangames.bsky.social with TFOS … Teenagers from Outerspace! My print copy says 1997 and that is because if there was an anime game in the 90s chances are R. Tal was publishing it. You get all the goofy slapstick comedy you want. Even has an opening comic!
Fantastic for it! We will be wolves! We will figure out what happened and then it’s done … except for all the metal songs that need to be written for your album talking about that story.
