This is amazing.
Wilco released two good to great alt-country albums, the first two. After that...snooze inducing slop. IMO. Old 97s catalogue is as strong as those first Wilco albums. More consistent, or at least, consistently appealing to me.

Sigh. Mistakes, I've made a few.
Day 1358 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #bluegrass Part way through the M section and we reach Mr. Monroe. What a great CD cover that one is- a beauty. More where that came from although I don't know why his band name is written as The Bluegrass Boys- should be His Blue Grass Boys, of course.
I do love Dr. Pepper, no doubt. (First taste was in Oregon in 1975.) But mixed with meat and condiments? I suppose I would try it just to say I have, but I can imagine it being an appealing combination.
Had I been thinking a bit more acutely, I would have bought everything on the table- I passed on early issues of Madman/Water, Honky Chateau, Labour of Love, and more that I can't remember now. But would have been good for reselling, if nothing else. Oh well, shouldn't be greedy.
To be fair, it isn't the biggest mistake I've made in my life.
Who thinks of these flavour combos? Jaysus, Dr. Pepper mixed with grease and ham? Just needed a little mustard on there with the brown sauce.
