We need a national registry that accurately records absence and routinely gathers information from parents/carers regarding the kids needs. A team could attend TAC meetings across Scotland. They could check compliance with the legislation and educate teachers and parents. CSPs should be automatic.

Guidance is welcome however it’s in part ludicrous. If you build giant cathedral like schools with open plan echoing spaces how can you fix the sensory overloads with cushions? Parents/carers are excluded from meaningful discussion. Disabled by design. Long term outcomes are bleak. # UNCRC

This is positive. Was lucky to be part of the Assembly and would encourage other parents to participate. I personally would like to see schools opening later so the whole building is quieter to help those with sensory issues. The volume of people is a real challenge which can’t be overcome.
