On Saturday the @bbsbryology.bsky.social NE Scotland group had a great outing to Creag a' Chlamhain at Crathie where we (re)found a good range of unusual species including Clevea hyalina and Schistidium atrofuscum

Arashnia levana, 2nd brood female

Delighted to find a 2nd brood Map butterfly while walking in the woods in Jersey. There seem to be v. few previous records. Interestingly Linnaeus thought this to be a different species from the first brood as they are so different in colouration.
