So what is year 9? Honestly, I think of the German word Nein, or No. So, I made that my theme. No more letting ourselves be broke down by unimportant people. No more defining our accomplishments simply by the acknowledgment of others. No more feeling alone. Because we aren’t.
I think back to last year, year 8. The year of infinity, giving us a chance to prove that our love will forever be strong. I think to next year, year 10. A decade, a third of our lives. Both years tell me that there’s so much we can accomplish and see, no matter what.
“9 years? Wow, that’s incredible!” It feels a little surreal to hear this as often as we have lately. To think that 9 years could just come and go just like that. Almost a decade of silly stories, crazy adventures, and troublesome heartbreak. 9 years, huh?
