So it looks like my Spotify wrapped is a fusion of my love of 90s Britpop, my 7 year olds obsession with the Mrs. Doubtfire musical soundtrack and our joint love for Taylor Swift

Inspired by the genius of @petejackson.bsky.social and his idea, made this ‘advent calendar’ revision tool for Y11 for OCR Living under Nazi rule
I’m looking at you, people putting up decs already! Christmas begins December 4th everyone knows that!
Gladiator 2 is very good!
Minging weather today thanks to Bert - and no rugby to play! So an avo spent in Ancient Rome watching Gladiator 2 then an evening watching modern Springbok gladiators tearing the Welsh to shreds is 👌
Done
After missing it when it was aired as Euros were on, have finally finished Tattooist of Auschwitz - powerful and brilliant tv. As someone whose visited there it captures everything about it
Happy HAU day 1! Another joy of OCR GCSE
I played with too many teenagers for my liking yesterday 🤣
#FridayFive
1) Day we caught the train - Ocean Colour Scene
2) Road Rage - Catatonia
3) The Passenger - Iggy Pop
4) Traffic - Stereophonics
5) Motorcycle Emptiness - Manic Street Preachers
Year 21 loading ……. Let’s do this 💪💥👊
William the Conqueror - I have Northern heritage, my French isn’t great and I’m not too keen on religion - not sure he’d be too keen on me!
Desk nice and tidy ready for INSET tomorrow and return of kids on Thursday - how long will it last? Hopefully beyond a week 🤣
With little one it was Duxford - wonderful museum. Got to see Spitfires fly and some wonderful exhibits. Even if little one’s favourite bit was the (admittedly amazing) play area
Deffo a hard one to choose - so many!! I’m going to cheat and choose 2 one for me and one with my daughter! For me it was Zadar old town in Croatia - Roman ruins, Venetian architecture, and damage from Balkan civil war / Homeland war all interspersed
I know the feeling. At 43 regularly the oldest player in the side. Also one of our y11s from 2 years ago is now stepping ip to our team - not sure I like him calling me ‘Gareth’ instead of sir
Only ones left were almost £300 and can’t justify paying that 😢
I’m 300000 in queue 🤣 and I’ve been out with little one most of the day! My partner is now 1000th in queue so 🤞
I have no doubt like most of your stuff it’s excellent!! I’ve emailed it to myself to read when I’m back in ‘work mode’. As ever thanks for sharing your wonderful stuff
I lived in Suffolk from age of 15 to 23 and parents are still here - so finally after almost 30 years finally visited!! I think I enjoyed it more than my 7 y/o 🤣
Sutton Hoo today, reckon I found a new image to slip into my Anglo-Saxon lessons
Ooh no but I’ll add it to the list.
This book is simply wonderful!!! My Dad (ex-soldier) gave it to me to read and I devoured it in days! Another similar read is ‘Junior Officers Reading Club’ by Patrick Hennessey
And exactly same can be said for ‘All around the world’
Stand by me, good call!! Be Here Now came out day of my GCSE results, collected results then straight to shop to buy it!
Just my most favourite band ever!!! I am really hoping tomorrow’s announcement is what I hope!! Loved them since I was 13 and despite so many attempts I’ve never ever seen them live 😢
Such a hard choice, changes often but at mo:
1) wonderwall (will always be 1)
2) rockin’ chair
3) live forever
4) don’t go away
5) don’t look back in anger
In that case @petejackson.bsky.social I make yourself and @sashasmith.bsky.social and @hughrichards.bsky.social the Figo, Zidane and Beckham of Bluesky
Narrator: “it wasn’t a sign” 🤦♂️😢
