The Kirby Air Riders Amiibo might be the coolest amiibo I own. They are big, heavy, bold and are interesting functionally. You level up the rider as a companion during races and can change cart by littlerally moving the character to the other cart. Would love to see more ideas like this...

@charalanahzard.bsky.social recently raised a question, what defines an indie game? From my pov, it has to be money. We borrowed AAA from the finance world and it scales down. Define a modern line for AAA, AA and so on. 'Indie' going to anything above $5mill a year feels wrong imo.

Found time to start working on my #GameEngine and added an Asset Browser and ability to add meta data to assets. ImGui makes this remarkably easy to prototype. Next to add proper selection/inspector editing.

Agreed. Even: ‘Started implementation of X’ is better than figuring out you messed it up half way through. Branch your features and even bug fixes so you’re not afraid to do it (GitHub desktop or built in to VS and JB). Also it’s nice to merge it clean which needs confidence you didn’t break it.

In the case of Thor I don't think it's financial. His game is not live AFAIK. The Ludwig publishing job I imagine he could take or leave. It's seeing experiences which would die. The law needs to be reworded imo but the EU tends to be alright at that. An issue with the current wording is fine.

What I've always liked about these mock ups is the removal of the words next to the game icons. You can see what the game is from the tile... You can read it from within the tile in most cases. Unneeded clutter. Keep it for accessibility, heck by default... But give me the option.

Second making whole video games is not the same thing. To make a game to the level of some of these mods you would need x2 x3 the teams. Then getting new IP sold more than mod DL? Forget it. For SP games we need to foster this creativity. & Unfortunately we are yet to live in Startrek times. 2/2

This feels angrier than it should. The legal restrictions are due to the publishers nothing more. Mods are software. When mods are mature they are more akin to plugins which there are already legal frameworks to sell independent of selling rights to base property. Hence why Bethesda allows it. 1/2

The issue does not just stem from 'give her action'. She had action in spirit. The issue is up until now she has not been a protagonist. In warriors/spirit she is not the main driver of the events almost a deuteragonist. We want a purer straight up protagonist game with Zelda. More 2D Zelda Games+

Cool but: The trees overlapping are triggering something in my mind because gameboy games (original) did not use overlapping tilesets. Maybe like actors below the tiles like a metroid style situation...

Wasn't it spirit tracks? Not phantom. Phantom it's like two cut scenes and Tetra you see her.

In the UK, I do not see this. Studios are grouped together into a couple areas and I see people moving up the ranks never once touching management and moving studios (some picking and choosing). & protections for permanent work is decent enough to gain confidence. (EU protections better afaik)
