This year’s prestigious Bee Run was a barn burner and @senatordoronclark.bsky.social and I got handily beat by Nathan Rock. Frida’s form and speed and courage improved dramatically over the last year making for a proud dad.

This week is Black Maternal Health Week — a time to raise awareness and take action on dangerous racial health gaps in childbirth. When I welcomed my son, Leo, last August, I experienced firsthand how dangerous birth can be for Black women.
