The problem with FL is that the Dem bench is really, really weak. In IA, there are two strong, interesting Dems in the primary; in FL we're talking about Alex Vindman carpetbagging or Alan Grayson...

This should be a bipartisan litmus test for Fed Chair: Will you support the independence of the Fed?
The fact that Warsh’s answer is shaky, because he believes he’s beholden to Trump, should be disqualifying. But the GOP doesn’t believe in the independence of any agency. Only Trumps.
Here’s heritage’s economic hack complaining about crude at $80/barrel and gas prices at $4/gallon, exactly where they are now.

look, do I think bliowa is super likely? no
but trump has worked overtime on "fuck farmers specifically" this term, so
Jared Kushner wasn't elected to anything by the voters. He doesn't have a security clearance. He wasn't confirmed by the Senate.
He's being paid billions by the Saudis, who have a financial interest in the Iran War continuing.

I dunno, seems like if you were going to create a bunch of compact spaces like boats and submarines, reducing the risk of an easily communicable debilitating disease would be a good idea.

STEPHEN E. SACHS | 4.20.2026 4:11 PM The recent leak of internal Supreme Court memoranda to the New York Times, discussed earlier by Jonathan Adler and Josh Blackman—as well as by Will Baude and Jack Goldsmith elsewhere-was plainly a serious violation of the Court's confidentiality obligations. But it may also reflect serious legal-ethics violations by one of the Times article's coauthors, Adam Liptak, whom I understand to be a licensed attorney in New York and subject to that state's Rules of Professional Conduct. 4:46 PM • Apr 20, 2026 & Everybody can reply
I dunno, you do you, but if I had an endowed chair named after someone who was infamous about accepting free gifts and trips from active litigants before his own court, I would maybe consider being more guarded in how I argued about the ethics of disclosing the Court’s conflicts of interest.
everyone with real American manliness and a basic knowledge of military history knows that serious war efforts have never been derailed by such trifling matters as "communicable diseases"
70 Minnesota children.
Delta Air Lines, who likely flew nearly all of these kiddos out of MSP, could publicly condemn this and end the practice tomorrow, as the airlines did in 2018 with family separation, but it’s easier to stay silent.
“Republican leadership doesn’t want to do anything but ICE and CBP” is basically a Dem campaign ad.
I am optimistic about Sherrod Brown just running over this doofus.
My kingdom for a Meteor.
Yeah; there's a pretty good argument that the GOP "fair elections" groups in VA engaged in fraud during their advertising campaigns. Some of the mailers I'm getting are pretty wild. I don't think it'll make a difference.

Again: young people might not realize that this kind of repugnant racism was unacceptable to express publicly, *not that long ago*.
Huh, it’s almost like a crime.
You love to see it!!
One of the problems for Booker’s argument is that Dem strategy does actually require maximizing voter turnout in areas that are far left, and if you tell those voters repeatedly that they should vote for you by default, they’re not going to volunteer, walk precincts, drive pool, etc.
This was a very good speech by Sen Murphy. Anti-corruption messaging is a key point in unifying the Democratic Party, though there’s got to be some house-cleaning within the party, too.

Do you ever wonder if it's just two AI bot accounts arguing with each other? in a constant loop of nonsense?
Some people are suggesting that Rep Lee run for Fetterman's Senate seat in '28. That'll basically be an open primary; Fetterman's approval with Dem voters puts him in Sinema territory (and he may well bolt the party), and Lee would be a great candidate for it.
I love this quote, partly b/c editors deserve more credit.
But I especially love it because I can here this in her voice, the moods of her quoting herself in different exchanges with the editor.
I’m not a fan of news agencies doing puff pieces on American company sales tactics. I also dislike it when they do it for Chinese companies.
“Particularly Christianity.”
“Trumpism will not deliver broad prosperity any more than Orbánism did,” Adam Serwer argues. “It took Hungarians the better part of 20 years to reclaim their freedom. How long will it take Americans?”
Gosh, this question is a Rorschach text.
Starship Troopers.
Whole lot of just-antizionism/coincidences/false flags going on in London, huh?
If a campaign fails to run core GOTV operations in centers where you’re massively favorable and are running huge ad campaigns, that’s on the campaign.
Maybe instead of paying 50 consultants 6- and 7-figures to hone messaging, pay ground game staff in Detroit and Pittsburgh and Madison.
