In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

If we kick out the fascists but the liberals don't learn that they should care when people that aren't them are targeted for oppression then we'll just get a new set of fascists a few years later.

I just think it's pretty obvious Palantir should be nowhere near our NHS and that alone renders Labour unfit to lead this country.

And what would the point of vetting even be if nobody at all was allowed to know the outcome?

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell could not have sold children for sex without rich perverts buying them for sex. I feel this needs to be emphasized much more than it is.

My new phone was posted to my old address where I haven't lived for sixteen years. This isn't a mistake that's happened before so my only hope is my childhood home's new inhabitants are big Sooz Kempner heads and get in touch. ORRRRRR they know someone who is.

Please repost for me to receive phone.

I think these people usually just hate the idea that the "undeserving poor" are getting free healthcare, often for conditions they think don't exist or are the fault of the patient, like mental health conditions or diseases connected with obesity.

I agree with James's literal words, but I rather suspect we disagree on what's wrong with the NHS (transphobia, misogynoir, ableism, Palantir, PPPs, etc) and what should replace it (an improved publicly-funded and operated health service).

Long Road out of Here
Long Road out of Here YouTube video by Juliette & The Licks - Topic

The staccato portion of Long Road out of Here. I'm a sucker for any sort of piano staccato, but this might be my favourite.

Yes, it's hard. Yes, it requires careful thought and analysis. Zack didn't say his speech was the end of the process. And, he didn't say it was easy: only that it was possible.

And the problem with the other parties is that they're either just openly committed to making things worse, or they propose trickling out piecemeal measures which capital can safely deflect or absorb before they lead to any real change.

A frame from the TV show Community. Shirley Bennett says, "You can excuse racism?"

In 1873, Anthony said, "An oligarchy of wealth, where the rich govern the poor; an oligarchy of learning, where the educated govern the ignorant; or even an oligarchy of race, where the Saxon rules the African, might be endured; ..."

She did the thing, huh.

If he was a real journalist, Tim would be asking what the US thinks "success" looks like, and whether it aligns with anything normal people would want.

There'll be widespread suffering and death whether or not the US succeeds, because avoiding that isn't the success they're seeking.

Tourette syndrome activist John Davidson says Bafta told him ‘any swearing would be edited out of the broadcast’ Davidson said he ‘can’t begin to explain how upset and distraught I have been’ over slurs he shouted during the award ceremony

So the BBC promised Davidson and StudioCanal (who made I Swear) that any swearing tics would be edited out from broadcast, and instead they left them in despite a two hour delay, and even put a fucking microphone right in front of him to ensure they picked it up - he was sat at the back of room.

They mean something. While I think it's useful to suggest that Labour supporters consider whether their vote is better used tactically, that surely can't be your entire campaign message. We have reasons to vote _against_ Labour and Reform, now we need reasons to vote _for_ Greens.
