Amazing #NoKings Rally and March today.
BREAKING: I'm suing the federal government for access to evidence in the shootings of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and Julio Sosa-Celis.
It's astonishing this lawsuit is even necessary, but in Minnesota, nobody is above the law.
Don't let Markwayne Mullin's Senate confirmation overshadow his history of corruption and self-enrichment in Congress.
In Minnesota, we’ve seen the federal government at its worst -- and showed the world how to fight back.
Now, I'm honored that the flagship No Kings protest will be held here in the Twin Cities. Together, we'll show Donald Trump that we don't do kings.
My team and I work every day to prosecute Medicaid fraud, and we’ve built one of the best Medicaid fraud enforcement records in the nation. MAP Act 2.0 strengthens our tools and resources so public dollars go to the people who need care, not fraudsters.

Of course, Rev. Jesse Jackson was a towering figure of the Civil Rights Movement and every other movement for human dignity. But he also took time with new candidates who shared his values. Here’s Rev. Jackson helping me with me 2006 congressional campaign. Bless this great soul. RIP.
Ellison: "I've never been prouder to be a Minnesotan. I'm so proud of the people who helped their neighbors, who stood up for their First Amendment rights. I hope it's over and now it's a time to heal and put things back together again."
RON JOHNSON: Did you ever encourage people to go out there and exercise their First Amendment rights?
KEITH ELLISON: I freely admit being in favor of the First Amendment
Make no mistake: the people of Minnesota ended Operation Metro Surge.
Your voices, dedication to peaceful protest, documenting federal agents’ abuses of power, and commitment to providing for each other made this happen.
There's more work to do, but this is a win for Minnesota.
under questioning by Rand Paul, ICE officials confirm that yelling at officers is not assault and recording officers is not a crime
When our communities are under attack, we don’t sit back — we organize and get to work.
I’m ready for what’s next and to continue serving as your People’s Lawyer.
loved every second of Bad Bunny. That message of inclusion and a celebration of cultures like Puerto Rico’s is just what America needs right now. Plus, his music just gets you in motion. 10/10
This order further protects Minnesotans from Trump’s devastating and unlawful cuts to childcare services. This is a tremendous relief and protects low-income families from having to choose between going to work to pay the bills and staying home to provide childcare.
When NPR asked what federal agents should do now, my answer was simple:
Leave. Immediately.
I think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.
Casar holds a 3 minute and 26 second moment of silence to represent the time in which DHS officers let Renee Good bleed out after she was shot
My statement in response to White House Border Czar Tom Homan's press conference this morning, February 4.
Murphy on Fox News Sunday: "I mean -- c'mon. We're still pretending that ICE is going after dangerous people? They aren't. What is happening in Minnesota right now is a dystopia. ICE is teargassing elementary schools, it is disappearing legal residents into cars, it is murdering American citizens."
Welcome home, Liam and Adrian.
Today I’m visiting local and immigrant-owned businesses impacted by Operation Metro Surge to show up in a real, tangible way.
Supporting local businesses won’t fix everything, but choosing community, visibility, and support is how we hold our community close and get through this together.
The ruling in our request for a TRO in our case with Minneapolis and Saint Paul to halt Operation Metro Surge was disappointing, AND…..
My statement on the arrests of journalists Georgia Fort and Don Lemon.
Carol Leonnig: Acting chief of Minneapolis FBI field office has been removed. And MN US Attorney's Office, usually about 80 prosecutors, is down to half strength (35-40) since Trump took office. Trend accelerated by recent resignations.

Yesterday, I met with White House Border Czar Tom Homan. The meeting was cordial and, as someone who believes in dialogue as a path to solving problems, I welcomed the opportunity to share my perspective with Mr. Homan.

My duty as Attorney General is to keep working until we reach the truth and ensure accountability and transparency. That’s why we’re in court to protect the evidence in the killing of Alex Pretti, despite being denied access.
Justice takes persistence. We’ll keep fighting.
We’ve experienced firsthand this year that elections have real consequences. When we vote, when we show up for our communities, and when we caucus, we take another step toward protecting and standing with our neighbors.
Join us. Show up. Caucus: dfl.org/caucus/
Having to fight to preserve evidence is absurd and unheard of. But if it’s what AG @keithellison.bsky.social needs to do to pursue justice, he’ll do it every time.
