Old zines I liked series continues with Maelstrom Spec Fic. (Not to be confused with the U.K. Maelstrom.) This one, published out of Florida, ran for 8 issues from 1998 to 2001. Edited by Dave Felts, who was a fine writer, as well.

Just noticed that 2 stories from my 2024 anthology Northern Nights made the Notable Stories list of Best American Science Fiction & Fantasy 2025. Congrats Rich and Senaa. 3 other tales were reprinted in other 'Best Ofs'.

Let's continue! A magazine I liked. Loved this one, tbh. "The Third Alternative," edited by Andy Cox. It ran for 42 issues from 1994 to 2005, then it morphed into another fave, "Black Static," which ran 83 issues from 2006 to 2023. Now Andy is back with @remainsmagazine.bsky.social
