The whole ‘con exclusive merch’ thing just seems ridiculous to me though, because let’s face it, the companies want to make money off the merch. They’d surely make a lot more money if they made these cards available online to all after the con?

No matter how many times we all put on our tin foil hats about radioapple, if it really does become Canon, no one can dare speak about how it would be random or out of no where or made canon from fandom pressure

I've been in fandom long enough that I would be fine if it didn't end up being canon, I love the ship regardless and that's what fanart/fanfic is for.

But the amount of vitriol and gaslighting from antis about it being 'slop' with 'no chemistry' and 'fan service' has me like-

Ikr? 😭 surely it makes more sense for them to sell the card widely rather than keep it for con goers only as in the long run the card creators will make more money on the merch that way.
