Open AI seems to be getting desperate and way below its once lofty ideals, based on this notification.

Water of Leith weir near St Marks park. Another nice day for a run #edinburgh
I had been skeptical about how deeply AI will change software engineering. But this is the real deal. I expect the coming years to be quite different and likely very challenging for the profession.
I have been in tech for almost 20 years. Recently I have been using more of Claude code for work. It makes me productive, but also sad. It's better than me at skills which took me quite a while to develop, namely reading and understanding code.
Managed a lunch run in the sunny weather to Newhaven. Got to see the Behemoths by the bay up close. #edinburgh
I ran the 6.5k Kilomathon running event today morning. The weather wasn't the best, but did all right with a time of 37:47. #edinburgh
I am tired of all the AI generated slop.
Between train journeys to Nottingham and London, I finished @jonathanrowson.bsky.social 's "Moves that Matter". A delightful book about chess and not-chess. There were parts where I had no idea what he was talking about, but I knew it was beautifully written. पता नहीं क्या लिख रहा है , पर अच्छा लिख रहा है।
Also, I have no idea how they are able to lift that couch with that overhand grip.
Ya sure, go for it.
A pheasant day as well. There were plenty roaming about in Dalmeny estate.
Quite a pleasant day out for a bike ride. NCR 1 to S Queensferry followed by John Muir way. Glimpsed Barnbougle Castle from the most secluded beach in Edinburgh.
Managed to swim 10 laps (250m) continuously for the very first time in my life. My goal for the year is to swim 500m without stopping.
Picked it up! Thank you!
No problem at all! Thanks a lot for passing that on. I will head there today morning. Excited to read it!
After a lot of hard work, I have finally managed to lose my pair of gloves.
Remains of the erstwhile t-rex enclosure.
In my experience seeing the stars in Edinburgh is a rarer phenonmenon than glimpsing the sun.
This 14 calorie cracker tastes like what I imagine salted cardboard would be like.
Ah yes. Not that easy and quite counterintuitive. You need to give up your rook pawn to be able to queen the b pawn. This is a standard endgame worth remembering for the future though.
Won my game! I was slightly better in the middle game, but I was over-eager with my advantage, resulting in the position equalizing. I needed to play some ugly defensive moves and then finally a couple of blunders from my opponent lead to the win. Here is one, white to move. #chess #chesspunks
Another Edinburgh chess league game tonight. I have lost my last 3 games, and I am going into this one fairly sleep deprived. Bring it on, I guess. #chess
Thanks. I have never collected anything from Click and Collect before. Do I just go to the till and ask for the envelope with my name?
I am in the EH5 area. Happy to come pick it up wherever it's convenient for you!
It is a good book for tactics training. But it doesn't really introduce tactical patterns and jumps straight to the puzzles. I started it with just the goal of finishing the 250 "easy" puzzles, but never got through it.
That's very generous. Thanks so much for the offer. I have heard good things about the Endgame Strategy book and wouldn't mide taking a look at that.
Wow, you got some really good ones there!
Nice 🌤️day to be at the #edinburgh zoo and watch the giraffes.
