This time is so much harder for so many reasons. But, for me, the hardest fact is that this time around I have two teens & their early adulthood, if not more, will be greatly influenced by this administration. In 2016 I had so much time, they were so young. And now…I worry so much for their future.
I knew it would be hard, I knew I would be sad, I even knew I’d be overwhelmed with dread (since I have been for months). But somehow it’s worse now that the day is here.
Then (for 4 straight days): Mimosas, Christmas music, games, movies, wine, naps, decorating the tree, family time
Now: Black coffee, emailing {redacted} about the pre-meeting meeting strategy
Today has been SUCH a Monday.

Having kids so close in age is absolutely hard at times BUT their closeness, love, & support of each other is everything.
My son went to most of my daughter’s middle school tennis matches. At the end of each season he asked for an autographed ball. I just saw he has them displayed in his room. 🥹🥰

Yes, I’m having a pity party. But I deserve it.
Anytime I have a medical procedure that is for a woman’s “thing” I’m constantly amazed at the lack of care our medical system has for women. I had a minor procedure today & was given no pain meds even though it was incredibly painful & I’m still cramping, 8 hours later.
I am so so so sorry. We went through that with Copper. I have no words except I’m with you. Sending you love during this tremendously difficult time. 💙
