Co-founder of Graveyard Keeper dev Lazy Bear Games regularly posts AI art & asks for help with AI gen code
Going as far as feeding his own games art into the slop machine
The game itself is from 2018 so it predates the stuff, but they announced a sequel & I expect it to be full of AI-gen slop
Good episode but I miss Larry codes

Here are Dave and David's full unedited comments for those interested:
we used to build household shrines to Going On The Computer and it's no coincidence that as we abandoned these we started straying further from god's light
Iโm at ICE HQ
I was asked to give my thoughts on generative AI usage in games - here they are!
if steam is asking developers to put in an AI-generated content disclosure, i should be able to filter those "games" out of searches because trudging through next fest demos is miserable now

If you happen to see any Finji ads that look distinctly UN-Finji-like, send me a screencap.
If you are someone who writes intelligently about something like "massive company running ai versions of paid ads without small company's consent" idk, maybe reach out.

I was still speaking to my dad in 2020 when George Floyd was killed. I called him the day after and talked to him about it. He had seen the video and thought it was absolutely awful and morally repugnant.
Three days later, he was posting Candace Owens conspiracies about how Floyd was on drugs.
One of the core purposes of right-wing media is to rewrite your memory and reprogram your moral response to an event you saw with your own eyes. George Floyd died of a heart attack. Jan 6 was a peaceful picnic. This process has already begun
Have you seen "prompt engineers" or "AI artists" jealously guard or hide their prompts or accuse others of stealing their 'work' (prompts)? Incredible shit
NEW: For the last seven weeks, Naughty Dog has enacted mandatory overtime for staff to finish an internal demo of their next game, Intergalactic. The game won't be out until 2027, leaving some staff wondering: If they're crunching now, what will next year be like? www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
