@mewmew13.bsky.social Hi Con, do you know this Jack Diemar? He's from Eagle, CO. Noticed a great result at Redlands last weekend.

Champoussin is 8.00 for a top10-finish. He was 11th last year. Worth a shot.
Betting market for Fleche Wallone, quesque que c'est?
oolala, les Francais sont la. 5/6 French nationality, VPP and Baudin also close near the front of the market.
commentator says podium miss is Leo van Vliet's daughter (departing race organiser). It explains the tears in her eyes.
NSN Cycling, a team without GC leaders, so he gets some space and free roles to go see what he's capable of. Was 10th on GC in the Tirreno-Adriatico already.
Giro d'Italia next?
Picobello Pinarello takes the stage at O Gran Camino, beating Adam Yates and Nordhagen. Interesting rider who's still a bit under most people's radar.
He went to Bardiani straight from the junior category, teamed up with Giulio Pellizzari, but needed a bit more time before turning pro with
I had doubts about his sprinting skills, as he's been avoiding them (you may recall his late escape for 3rd in Milan-Sanremo), but boy did he prove me wrong.
People now speak of a ketchup-effect, now the first big one is in the bag, many will follow 😅 We'll see. but happy with the win!
@tammy-salyer.bsky.social Hi Tammy, if not mistaken, you're a bit of a Van Aert fan, no? Were you able to watch part of his victory last Sunday? I know it's hard to watch cycling in the US.
were held up at the entrance of the trouée d'Arenberg. A very disappointed Roodhoofdt said he couldn't have foreseen the situation as it evolved. In normal circumstances, any team car would have been able to help Mvdp at least a minute sooner. The difference in pedal type he calls 'very unfortunate'
Sporza showed some short interview clips with MvdP and his ds, Christophe Roodhoofdt. M said they knew Jasper had a different set of pedals and wasn't instructed to swop bikes with M in case something happened (Jasper was on a bad day). M was supposed to wait for the car, but apparantly all cars /1
Mick or Tim Van Dijke? Think it was Mick.
Tim got a top10 here in 2024, but was dsq-ed for cutting a corner at the velodrome.
He did it, wow 👌
Last time I've seen Wout van Aert do a sprint was at Dwars Door Vlaanderen 2025. We know how that one concluded. But, nothing against Pogacar, I hope he takes it.
From BikeRadar: "We’ve spotted a prototype version of Shimano’s new clipless road bike pedals on Jasper Phillipsen's Canyon Endurace for Paris-Roubaix 2026."
Questionable timing for a big race, as it seems to have sunk Van Der Poel's chances.

Tobias trails Seixas by 5'39, which is a lot and we're nowhere near yet. A podium spot is moe realistic.
Interesting developement, Seixas is isolated and doesn't seem to gain time on the group with Tobias Johannessen. UAE is working with Uno-X now. Upset allert?
Let's see
Itzulia, Roglic sits 3rd on GC but haven't seen him up with the GC guys. Happens more often to him lately, losing places in latter stages of tours, I've noticed.
Wat maak je je druk om campagnedonaties. het gebeurt overal, tot xtreme mate en zelfs omkoping in Hongarije, hoor ik je niet over.

and, of course, The orange Dictator
Magnus Sheffield (IGD) and Matteo Trentin (TUD) were both well placed halfway through the race, but both reportedly crashed in the descent of the Oude Kwaremont. No injury info yet.
Van der Poel flash interview, says he pushed 620 Watts at 3rd time Kwaremont but simply could not keep Pogacar's wheel. He recovered a bit on the flatter section, but then Pogacar accellerated again.
When questioned whether he'd maybe not work with Pogacar, he talked a bit about this. He said he'd considered it, but it'd show he's scared or afraid, and thus show weakness. That wouldn't be in line with his character.
oh? you must've watched a different edition, as today was all very predictable and boring at places. Can't wait for calls to ease the course.
Sporza reporting the road is wet on the Koppenberg #slippery #sporzaradio
Podium presentation in Flanders, the master of ceremony introduces Van Aert sharing his regret the finish line wasn´t 50 meter closer last Wednesday. To help Wout, he adds he has moved today´s finish 50 meters closer 🥂
Happy Easter y´all 🐣
Scaroni raced in GP Indurain today.

but the Pogacar/MVDP express may have departed before he's even in the game. Still a great result, but I miss the subject of positioning in the previews that I read left and right. Penny for your thoughts?
appears more streamlined, but there's a handful of important sections where positioning is crucial, like the lead up to Oude Kwaremont and also the Paterberg. A podium spot might be a tougher task that you'd estimate based on physical capabilities alone. Yes, he'd solo his way to a 4th or 5th spot
